    Rebuilding an engine

Can someone tell me how much I should expect to pay if I were to rebuild my engine? Also what all is rebuilt in the process? Any other helpful info? Thanks

    My car is a 92 325is with 127K miles.

That is a very open ended question. There are various levels of engine rebuild. They range from doing just a valve job to removing every component in the engine and either replacing with new or machinging to reuse. Prices can range anywhere from $500 on up. It will depend on how much you do yourself.

could be as little as resurfacing the valves and seats to as much as new valves, guides, seats, springs and keepers and cams. Valve seals must be replaced on any valve job.
