sick
they dont call it bangkok for nothing
paint is about 1-2 years I believe but it sat at a dealers lot for the past 14 months cause it ran like poo... Lets hope that wasn't do to large mechanical issues inside the engine
nice! what are you doing for motor mounts, tranny mounts and wiring harness?
LEVINE AUTOMOTIVE
engine machinist.
25-30 psi on a GT2560R.... hahahahahah
Do you just like to watch the boost gauge wrap around? That thing will choke the compressor inlet around 16-18 psi depending on the cams and manifolds.
The japanese guys seem to have really good luck rapping the s15 turbos out to 20+ psi.
Ummm... you can make them boost that high in the midrange, but why bother? It's a 300 rwhp turbo. I did that much at 15 psi on the turbo with stock cams.
Any higher boost and you're just destroying the turbo and making maybe 2 HP more.
Why not get a turbo that's at least marginally sized for the engine and higher HP like a GT2871R at the smallest.
The S15 turbo at 25-30 psi for mid range rpm will be fine, i suspect i'll be able to make 380-400 torque with it. I agree though at high rpm i'll have to tapper the boost down to around 18-20 by redline if i don't want a bunch of hot air.
This will actually be a very similar set up to what i did for the 4g63 in my VR4 Twin scroll EVO 8.5 turbo galant vr4
I'll be sure to post up all the data and graphs as soon as i get to start tuning
NICE, have to love the nissan engine conversions. i put an rb26det in my e46 as it seemed like the best way to get a reliable 500hp out of it
Ha RB26 E46, classy my friend very nice!

Well I finally received the nice fat box of goodies Brewed sent me from the US.
Decided i would yank the engine harness to clean things up before i slip the AEM in and start tuning.

Couldn't find an electric shop ANYWHERE in my area (near Bangkok) that had what i needed... or even understood what i needed haha, SO I cannibalized the old gauge cluster i wont be using.
Didn't find the 100 ohm resister that i needed but i did score a 70 ohm and a 30 ohm bing bang boom soldered inline =100 ohm resister!
Some preliminary tuning, just making a bit more head room for more boost and RPM
start switch and fuse box wired and mounted on some sticker bomb.
Just finished up the front 3rd of the chassis harness.
Can't wait to see this thing turn out. Keep up the updates!
