Hey guys currently have an m10 out of the car doing all the gaskets etc and getting it ready for some boost , just wondering on some ideas for timing options and also what i should do for the fuel side of things
I have a fuel setup for you It's a Volvo Turbo CIS fuel distributor, stainless lines, boost referenced WUR, etc. In excellent condition! Everything you need less the distributor vacuum/boost referenced timing stuff.
It's the ONLY right way to go Turbo CIS. It's a rare find, it's in great shape, clean and ready to go, and I'm only looking for $350. If you're serious about boosting an M10 on CIS, don't blink - buy it.
Only reason I'm selling is because I went full stand alone.

hey mate i have inboxed you , but what do i do for the distributor and timing things?
Let me know if you received my replies - I'm having trouble with Chrome locking/crashing. I've had to re-write my response twice now, and I'm still unsure if it went through or not.

Just in case my PM didn't go through:
So, your current setup is acceptable for a standard NA engine. However when turbocharging your M10, you will quickly find there are no provisions for fuel enrichment under boost thustly blowing your refreshed motor.
The common accepted method of boosting with CIS is to run the Volvo fuel distributor and WUR (along with a few other parts). The reasons are many, but can be narrowed down to these in short:
1) The Volvo meter is cast as a 6cyl fuel bowl and tapped for 4cyl - allowing ample fuel flow for boost.
2) The Volvo bowl and plate are much larger - compensating for the additional air metering needed for boost.
3) The shape of the fuel bowl is such that it allows the transition into boost smoothly with no lean spikes, and keeps your AFRs at 11:1 under boost (safe).
4) Stainless braided fuel lines rather than the factory junk plastic lines
Items you WILL need:
1) Volvo distributor vacuum canister (boost referenced). This will retard timing under boost onset. You can find them in the junkyards or eBay.
Items you MAY need for maximum power:
1) Porsche CIS fuel pump
2) Mercedes brass fuel injectors
This setup as offered by me has been rebuilt by the previous owner before I owned it... It is known in good working condition. It is known to support somewhere in the 225hp range on factory pump and injectors. With the Porsche/Mercedes supporting mods, you may reach much further in the power range. Some VW guys have reached upwards of 400hp on CIS!
I will photograph and send you the pics today. It's a VERY clean setup, rebuilt, and ready to rock. It's difficult to find - even in the junkyards.
