I worked on an Audi enthusiasts S4 supercharged last week, had a cold air intake, had a cool laser engraved badge and all, filter was white, dry, not a drop of filter oil ever applied on it at all, it used the stock air duct that blasts fresh cold air through the grille right onto the filter..... Dude picked it up Friday, just I. Time with today’s rain all day long, bet vapor lock in 3... 2... 1....

Missin' out on, you mean that ice storm and possible 12+ inches of snow?
Pretty nice here today, fired up the Weber and grilled a fat T-bone this afternoon, we ate it on the back patio, only 63º out but nice and sunny.
Get that snow shovel tuned up.

Santa Fe and Taos are higher elevations with snow, typically colder there.
It's 38º here at my house at 6:55 AM.
Don't really miss the winters back east. GG, looks like a 3 dog night back in Rockport. 10ºF for the high today.

    4 degrees right now Jim.

Just tried to start the car and all 4 doors were frozen shut from the slushysnowrainsleet that fell yesterday when it was 30's before it went to FOUR.

Crawled through the hatch to start it. Thank god its a Touring. Thanks also that the clutch start interlock is coded out so I didn't really have to climb over the front seats.

Hope it thaws enough to open the damn doors, the latches popped on em but I can't swing them open to re-latch dammit!

BUT, I'm gettin' some serious COLD AIR INTAKE all up in this business! Probably make like 50 more whorespowers today. <---#nothreadjack

    4ºF, nice, ugh.
So what car is in the garage? Probably don't need to ask, must be her X1 cuz your a nice guy.
Those frozen doors and locks are a PITA that I will probably won't ever have to deal with again.

LOL. M3 is in the Rockport garage, at the moment A3 is in our "off site" Andover garage (purely to eliminate having to shovel off a car we are NOT driving...) Need more gradges...

I used to always pre-season treat the door rubbers and crap with silicone spray but I guess it fell off my radar last few years. When we get the thaw I'll be on it though.

Armor All, soak 24 hrs, then wipe clean and wash jams frequently, THEN dry all four door and seals before it freezes

Still 15-17 here with 15-25 MPH winds, cuts right through you.....

I always used Gummi Pfledge (sp?) until the dealer stopped selling it.
Not too long ago I found it on Amazon, it's not exactly like to old stuff, better than nothing.
All of my rubber door seals are original and still in good condition.

Scottie and I were just talking about gumbi pledge.

Someplace I ran into one of those claims about where you could source gummifledgesp? under a different name
but supposedly same stuff... but I never trigger pulled.

I bought gummi pfledge on Amazon. Just like the bottle that had the BMW logo on it. I don't know if I love it or hate it, to be frank. I hate the applicator.
    Diehard E39 driver.
I'd rather die or take a walk before driving an E60 or any BMW made after Y2K.
