something is killing my battery.....

hey whats up,well something is killer my battery.when i turn the key and shut the car off,some of the lights in the interior stay on and my brake light in the rear window stays on.i could hear something staying on inside the car.almost sounds like it's coming from the center console.need more info let me know...

if its a soft buzzing noise in the center console, it's probably the thermostat. it stays on for a few minutes after the car is off and eventually turns off. though for the lights... just lock the car when you get out and your interior lights will immediately dim.

i tried that last night and that buzzing noise stays on and the lights that stay on are,the light for the shifter and the light for the head light switch.and my 3rd brake light stays on all the time.

the 3rd brk light should only be on when you hit the brk pedal.

the shifter light will stay on for atleast 16 minutes. after that if its still on than you need to figure out what is keeping the car awake.

For those of us with the 8 series cars, the "General Module" goes south and can kill a battery or batteries in a matter of days. It can also cause all sorts of odd electrical gremlins. Not sure if you 7 series has similar equipment.

Sounds like possible lamp module. You haven't had a windshield installed lately have you? I've seen quite a few LM full of water due to shotty installs.
