Can Tounneau Cover be Dyed to Restore?

I have a 2005 330CI convertible and the cover that hides the top when down (think that tounneau is the right term here) is discolored from a poor detailing job (by me, unfortunately). I think it is vinyl and the beautiful sand color has recently been dulled to a gray color in large sections. I have tried to use a vinyl-specific liquid product to fix it but the grayish discoloration remains. So, I am wondering if anyone knows whether this cover can be dyed? Any other suggestions for restoration?

Yes, it can be refinished by an interior refinishing/leather repair company. Most car dealers will know of someone in your area that can do the work.
