    Coolant Catch Can

This is something I haven't seen yet...
How/where does a coolant catch can attach? CR rules require it, but I can't seem to find out anything more than that.

I'm thinking it's not necessary since the E36 has one built in already.

If it has one already don't worry about it, on my E30 m3 there is a hose that is the overflow hose and it basically dumps straight to the ground. I just tie wrapped a plastic coke bottle in place as the "catch can".

Thanks for the pictures. I know what they look like, but I guess my question is do you NEED one on a stock E36 radiator, since it's a closed system and already has the expansion tank built into the radiator. I don't see where you would put one.

I can see where it would be necessary if you had a racing radiator that just vented onto the ground, but the stock radiator doesn't do that.... does it?
