How do i manually open tonneau cover on automatic convertible top

i have done my searching and i cant seem to find anything. so How do i manually open tonneau cover on automatic convertible top? . its too good of a day in California to ride around with out the top down

You disengage the lid motor. You will not be able to lock the lid down with the lid motor disengaged though. So you'll need to find some other way of securing it. To disengage the motors there are two metal "sockets" in the trunk that are visible. Both are latches and will need to be pushed sideways to get them to release. It's been about six months since I put mine together so I don't remember which way you push them.

And once you disengage the lid motor, you will need to re-sync the motors in order to make the top go up and down with the button. And since the top motor won't run without the lid motor being sync'd, you'll need to disengage it as well, and operate the top by hand.

so i just disengage the motor and i can pop open the tonneau cover, is that it?
