Got a bad button - and am following the instructions I found for disassembly - but ran into a snag that I'm hoping someone can shed a little light on -
The ribbon cable appears to be just a bit too small (thanks to the last person who repaired it) and I cannot go any further in separating the boards - anyone have any tips or tricks to get me over the hump?

The controller board is also held in place by the 2nd ribbon, going to the display board.
That board just pulls out of the shell iirc.
To release the keypad board, pull the shell outward so the the retaining post clears the edge of the board, and the retainer slots release the tabs on the board edge.
Furthermore there are two clips next to the shell wall and, on some versions of the keyboard, two clips in the center of the board.
You are deemed talented if you can release up to 4 clips simultaneously while tugging at the shell wall, while pushing on the keyboard face.
