Got mine back from powder coat. Purchase from Ben Nov 29, he shipped Dec 6, Greyhound called Dec 16, fitted Dec 22, dropped off at powder coater Dec 27, got it back from powder and installed today! Tons more photos in my build journal. Overall extremely happy!

Just picked mine up from Ben and installed it. I got the X brace and the added setback on the harness bar. Ben was easy to deal with and kept me in the loop the entire time. The bar looks amazing and was stupid simple to install (it helps that my car is completely stripped). Ben supplied the hardware and install tips. Easiest transaction i have ever had. Thumbs up in my book!

His email is pretty much the only way. Ben.sipson@gmail.com He is pretty quick to respond. 2 weeks ago he just did some extra side work for me that was time sensitive. He did communicate to me that he is doing some major work recently with the guys from the FasterProms youtube channel and that has been very time consuming. I have had him do a Few jobs and he has responded everytime within 24 hours.

One thing I am trying to understand is how truly safe bolt-in roll bars are. Given they are bolting to the car's thin sheet metal, aren't they likely to punch through the metal in the event of an accident? I'm guessing I am missing something so please pardon my ignorance.

There is a metal reinforcement plate provided with the roll bar that goes underneath the car. It sandwiches the chassis and the roll bar together.

You're not missing anything, you're right- they bolt into relatively thin sheet metal. A roll bar is a nice way to make a track-prepped car safer (when installed properly, and preferably along with a bucket seat and harnesses), though nothing will be as strong and safe as a full welded rollcage.

One way to think about it: with no rollbar you have the roof to protect you. With a rollbar, you now have a roof and a rollbar to protect you! There is no strong argument that says a well made rollbar (like these ones) makes a car less safe.
