    Mine is stock from what I understand but I have a 1900 525i with the gold grille inserts, gold bmw badges, gold 525i badge and the trunk lid button is gold as well.

    You should post a picture of it. You should also get rid of them for silver pieces.

    Biggest thing I got out of reading this dinosaur of a thread aside from the nausea of envisioning an e34 with gold bling is endless disrespect for whatever arsehole is behind this bigotry:

    I don't know what's worse, gold trim or extra chromed parts... I've seen on ebay chrome door handle trims, B-pillar covers, fender guards... I've even seen chrome kidney slats!

    Well chrome is still used on cars today but gold went away with the 90s. I recall even Toyota was doing "gold trim" packages in the 90s on some cars, which typically just involved putting on gold badges.
