What was the connection with NASA (rear window sticker)?

Thank you all! I actually do create prints of this shot and a couple other E31 glamor photos on my website (link in sig).

Regarding the NASA sticker, at the time my girlfriend was doing a technical writing internship at NASA's Ames Research Center and we have always loved the old worm logo. Thought it tied in with the E31's design and my license plate pretty well.
