New suspension setup (Bilstein/H&R Race kit) AKA slammed e30

So I finally bit the bullet and ordered the race kit for my car, it dropped the car all around almost 2". The ride is pretty stiff but it's not too bad, and I dont' find it too low that I can't drive it anywhere. Also a big thanks to bmarc for letting me use his spring compressors and stoping by to give a hand

Here's the kit the day it got shipped

Comparing the old rear shocks to the new ones

Comparing the new rear springs to the old ones

    Everything installed in the rear

Taking the front strut housing out

    Finally got it out

    Old front spings/New front springs

Rebuilt housing with the shock and spring installed along with new oil and everything cleaned

Rebuilt housing back in the car

Car sitting over night due to a stubborn control arm not wanting to come out of the housing

Here's my car at the shop at work after the drop. It looks sooo small compared to everybody else's trucks haha

Here's some before pictures of the car

Here's some after pictures of the car (sorry for it being soo dirty, I work two jobs and don't have enough time to give it a proper wash for pictures)

I love how it sits level, but I never did like how the rear arches on late model e30s were so low. I put in some drop-hats in the front to give it a little bit of rake to even the fender gap, but its not necessary.

What are your plans for the car?

My new plans for the car is to look for a decent set of BBS RS rims with a nice sized lip, re-paint all the trim black so it looks nice, and I have been researching quit a bit in how to boost it with a decent turbo setup, so we'll see what happens in the near future

That's slammed? lol The front will settle a bit, it'll even out the rake, but if you still feel it bothers you, drop hats and half a coil up front and it'll be perfect, no worries since it's a dead coil up top anyway

    404: Slammed E30 not found.

Looks good, but you still have wheel gap, so I'd hardly call it slammed. There are some LOW E30's around the boards. Heck, mine is lower and I still don't call my car slammed

Looks like a comfortable setup to daily on though!

Few questions.. Was your stock suspension shot? Did you get Billy sports? oh and what tire size are you running right now?

Iv been looking into eliminating my wheel gap on my e30 and my gap looks alot like your before pics, but seeing your after makes me think ill have to go real low to achieve it. Tho I do have 16's to put on it. so idk

Slightly lowered and stiffened up E30. Definitely far away from slammed.

With a dead coil cut out and drop hats the front comes down enough to cut out most of the wheel gap. You can also run e36 race springs as long as you have the e36 top hats to drop it a little more in the front (I have this and almost have no wheel gap). Lower offset wheels obviously make a difference too (which you definitely know). Car looks like it's coming along well op, nice to see some e30's getting posted in here!

Offset won't do anything to the space vertically between the wheel and the fender.. Offset does the other fender gap! Pretty sure you know that, but helps those that don't know fitment.

^I know, but at least to me, when you're low with high offset wheels the gap always seems more apparent.
