I know there was a difference in the amount of O2 sensors from 95 to 96, does anyone know this difference and maybe why (OBD2?)? Also, what is the the location of the O2 sensors on a 96 M? One more thing, does anyone now what is the average price for O2 sensors (most places I have been quoted approximately $86)? Thanks in advance for all of your replies.

The OBD2 cars have 4 oxygen sensors. Two in the front and two in the exhaust somewhere. You need a special tool to change them but once you have the tool it shouldn't be too hard. They cost about $80 from the dealers with BMWCCA.
