    People in VEGAS....good BMW indies?

Looking for an indie in vegas thats good to go to, reasonable prices.

I know of german motors, i personally just dont like them.
I know of autobahn and used them for my mercedes with no worries.

looking for any other places that have been good, particularly with transmission filter change and flush work.

Do the trans filter change yourself. I did mine with a fellow forum member's help and it was easy. I used to use european motorcars on spring mountain and Polaris. They are expensive and they screwed up a few repairs, so I don't use them anymore. I have a great private mechanic that I now use for things I don't want to repair. Pm me for details.

i know this thread is kinda old but ETEK Tuning (etektuning.com) are quite knowledgeable in VW/Audi and BMW/Mini's... It's actually 2 shops in 1, etek tuning for the tuning aftermarket, and C.A.R.S. for all work. They're located Valley View/Russell. I take my VW there primarily... another garage I use is All European on S Rainbow/Russell... both garages are great! All European specialize in the highline brands mainly, but knows just about everything. and honest!

Just picked up a 911 GT3. Anyone know if any of the shops mentioned here do work on Porsche?

PS: the roadster will be for sale soon...

I've never personally been there but RG Motorworks seems to have some positive reviews online, I'm new to LV so I've been keeping an eye out for shops.

I don't put much stock in online reviews. Some shops use bogus reviews to attract customers.

Not slamming RG Motorworks. Their reviews could be real and they might be a good shop.

    Just sayin'

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I recently went to Southwest Bimmers for some work and thought I'd share my experience.
Firstly, the shop is very small. Two lifts and two techs, Chuck and Devin, both great and friendly people.
Without going over every detail I'll just say that they had multiple opportunities to charge extra via parts and labor. They did not do this.
I went in assuming multiple parts needed to be replaced, SWBimmers upon inspection, decided that wasn't necessary; love that!

Anyway, I had a great experience and would recommend.

Side note, one of the techs drives a Z3 M Coupe.

JCJ Auto Repair off Russell near the 15. Lots of my friends swear by that place and the owner, Daniel, is a BMW enthusiast. He has worked on my '88 528e and repairs/costs seem reasonable to me.

Since I have moved to Las Vegas I have used BMW ONLY, 5115 Dean Martin Dr., #301, 2 time with very happy results. Both times I take in the parts I want replaced so just labor which is reasonable. Victor is knowledgeable and an Enthusiast. Only con is parking is chaotic.
    1. 1995 525i Center Link and L & R tie Rods IIRC $200 labor plus alignment.
    2. 1998 M3 Vert Heater Blower Motor, $500 labor but wife is happy her AC blows again.
