Hello everybody, I don't know where to post my question, so I chosen this thread. Does exist here any version of INPA (from "stock" to customized) that are capable of displaying the kilometer reading / mileage of the car for each unit? And/or reading out any hidden mileage counter in an E46? I just want to get read out the actual (or at lest something like that) mileage for my curiosity...

EDIT: thers a typo. I'm searching for a version of INPA that is at least capable of displaying the KM reading at the time when an error was stored.

Unfortunately David is no longer with us. He lost a battle with cancer a while back.

Hi. Is there anybody who could share David's CFGDAT and SGDAT files for his customized INPA? Thank you.

Does anyone know if this ebay cable would work with INPA? It doesn't specify a chipset.

I need to set up a way to interface and read SRS and top info on a 2003 2.5 Z4. I have a SRS code I need to try and diagnose/reset and the top gives a flashing light when fully open.

I only have a notebook with WIN7 64 bit OS. I have read that INPA will run on it. I got it to install and open but my generic muti-protocol OBD cable doesn't read the vehicle through the program. When I plug the cable into the computer it shows up and reports it is working properly in the device manager. SOOO when I open INPA or the BMW tools program it doesn't see the car with the cable I have.

You should get a cable with the FTDI FT232 chip. Those cheap 409.1 kkl are usually with the ch340 chip, which doesn't work.

Get an INPA K+DCAN cable (with a built in switch) if you don't want to go back and forth.

Also the com ports used by inpa (in the ediabas\bin\obd.ini file) must match the com port number in device manager for it to work.

Okay. Found one on ebay with all the descriptions for $15. They also linked to a thread having a download that supposedly installs all the software with an automated installer.

What's the deal with the switch?
What does it do and what position should I use on a 2003 Z4?
Can I damage my car if I plug it in with the switch in the wrong position?

    Hello!

Is anyone here still using DavidMC's custom INPA?

I'd really like to install it and use it for e36 (already have ads interface, dell e5500 with serial port, etc).

I have already tried 2 versions of INPA (the old 3.01 and also a 5.02 version), but when I compared them there were some missing functionalities on both of them.

Guess DavidMC's version might be the most complete one.
If there still is someone here who has it and can point me in the right direction to install it properly, would be much appreciated!

    Thx guys!
