What about e32 colours list like e38 does ?
http://www.e38registry.org/dakargelb-ii-337/
Does it exist ?
Yes, the data does exist. Getting access is the issue. You would need a copy of the database that the VIN decoders use, then you could write queries to produce this kind of data.
However, you most probably would not get any information about the "Individual" colors. None of the VIN decoders currently available have that info. The decoder that was built into the previous version of the on-line BMW Classic Shop was able to show some individual options, but that doesn't exist anymore.
I looked into it and the data is not publicly available.
It looks like all the VIN decoding websites use the same BMW ETK catalog to identify the vehicles and get vehicle order information. They must execute a query to the BMW servers. Many websites require a captcha verification beforehand to prevent mass queries.
Unless someone manages to get a hold of the data on the BMW servers we'll probably never get the complete production numbers.
Here is the option code list, status 2001. ccompanying this Parts Information Bulletin is a Revised Option Code List for 2001. http://simon.xn--schnbeck-p4a.dk/wp-...codes-list.pdf
some of the option numbers have been used twice over the years, so do not get confused. Examples
213 Automatic Stability Control (ASC)
213 Hill Descent Control (HDC)
214 Automatic Stability Control + Traction (ASC+T), E36 Touring ‘94
214 ASC+T Automatic Stability Control
so if your E32 car VIN shows 213 it is not Hell Descent Control HDC, but just the normal ASC

Strange (to me at least) that there were about 3x the 750il vs 740il built. Harder to find the 750's in the US
--Ken
750 were built from start to end of the E32 era, in Europe the first 750's we sold even in 1986. BMW 7 Series E32 Full Promo Official BMW Film 1986 BMW 7er https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWAeNjip6aM
740 came in 1992 and in that year you see a drastic change, 750 sales went down by abt 50%, M30 730/735 went down by more than 50% and a lot of 740 M60B30/M60B40 were sold instead, here the list from Johan's site

Hey everyone. Been a member for awhile here but never really post. Well back in 2000 my dad imported a 1992 750i from germany. Its dark grey almost black( don't know the technical color). Well to make a long story short I now have the car. I was reading at the beginning of this thread cause I was wanting to see if I could find an approximate number of shorty 750s that were here in the U.S.
From another thread I read I think there is a few other people on the forums with them too.
Any pics? I've been in the BMW community for about 12 years now, I've certainly never seen a shorty 750 in real life before. They were never produced here, so any are very rare grey market imports
Can definitely understand that after driving a 740 for so many years, and now a 750. The V12 is very special, but also quite complex, and the fuel economy is hilariously bad. I don't mind it at all, but just being realistic -- I may still feel like the 740 is an all around better car. More reliable, better fuel economy, simpler to work on, nearly identical performance...That said, the M70 really does have a unique power delivery and sound. But you pay a LOT for it. If I was a pragmatic buyer in 1992-1994, not sure I would be able to rationalize a 750
Sorry shogun and fellow 750 owners ...that said, really happy with my "new" 750, and quite excited to see where I go with it

Ok. Thanks👍
As we have 2021 the number of E32 registered in Germany has been updated:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_E32#cite_note-24
Funny is there is one more 750 than in 2019.
This link gets you to the table with the numbers:
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_E3...in_Deutschland
Wait, wait -- there are only a few thousand E32 registered in Germany? Wow.
1989 BMW 750iL (prod 08/88) (vin: 2768675)
Gone but not forgotten: 1994 BMW 740iL (prod 10/11/1993) (vin: *DE89667) 6spd swap, 2001 BMW 740i Sport
It would be really nice if we could get comparable data for the US and Canada...
In the German figures you see a big drop between 2007 and 2008. This was due to a change in the accounting method. Since 2008 they count only registered vehicles including seasonal registrations. Before that they also included cars that were "temporarily decommissioned", i.e. not registered but not yet scrapped.
Just found the numbers by engine/model in Germany, statistic shows data from 2005 - Jan. 2023, scroll down here https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_E32
in 2005 there were in total 42651 E32 registered = with number plate in Germany. For Jan. 1 2023 there are in total 3949 still on the streets, by engine:
engine.....kW.....units
730.........138....1431
730.........160.... 458
735.........155....1045
740.........210.....354
750.........661.....661
anyone has statistics from other countries?

Wow that is a huge decline! I don't know how to find registration data for US E32's but as anecdotal evidence I haven't seen another E32 on the road in years... I've also noticed it's next to impossible to find good ones for sale; 10 years ago they were all over the various car classifieds websites, these days you'd be lucky to find 10 for sale in the entire country.
Germany is the home market, with the best maintenance support, and the most BMW Fans. And 13,000 km Autobahn!
The grand total for the rest of the world is probably less than the German total. Canada might have 100 roadworthy E32s today? 95 next week?
I look at the classified in back pages of my monthly Roundel magazine to see if any E32's are out there. This month one came up in Mi. 88 735i Luxor Beige, 145,700 miles. Second owner, Good condition, new plugs, oil and filter change. Eight grand OBO. Interesting.
1990 735I (Auto) E32 Feb 1990 to Present
1996 Z3 Roadster (5 Speed) E36/7 Jan 1999 to Dec 1999

In my opinion there is a lot E32 still on the road and in someone garages and even brand new units seating somewhere in safe places from long time ago and in one day someone going to buy because this BMW E32 is unbeatable. Can you guys imagine if plant going to make in 2025 brand new E32 body same but inside interior will be upgraded more options and the engine will be M30 with upgraded engine ECU and automatic transmission ECU and much more and I’m sure lots fans would buy this BMW. This is just a dream.
Last edited by Annddrriy; 10-09-2023 at 05:52 AM. Reason: E32 unbeatable till now no matter how they try to make new BMW they never beat this body.
It has been a long time since I've seen another E32 on the road. Even on craigslist, parts cars are pretty much gone. Nice examples are very hard to find, so I'm glad I have mine. E32 is such an underrated platform and I'm not really sure what that is, when the E30 and E34 get so much praise.
1990 750iL BronzitBeige Metallic
2001 325cic OrientBlau
too funny the last E32 we saw, was a few months from our registration number, same first 4 sequential digits... driver was too busy on the phone to notice us as we slow down... on the freeway!
Few in the junkyard as well...
