E30 325ix with Dinan badge in Santa Rosa tonight (dashcam screenshot of not the best quality)
We were headed down the I80 towards San Francisco this afternoon in a White E93 M3 and ran into someone in a nice E39 M5, he was taking some pics and video as we did a few pulls on the highway. We didn't get your instagram off your window, hoping that your on here. Headed south towards oakland and san fran. By the way the E93 is an active autowerke stage 3 gen 2 supercharged car with full headers and exhaust on KW coilovers.
Cheers,
Ryan

Stock red E92 M3 in San Mateo going 101 south. Tailgated me all the way to 92 junction maybe because I have so much visual sex appeal on my car. Not gonna try to race with my tiny 2.5 engine. What a dick.
I need to start actually taking pictures of all the E36s I see.

Sad day, spotted a really clean lowered black e36 M3 on 580 West near Hayward pulled over on the left with highway patrol because it ate a silver Chevy Cruise in the butt for following too close. RIP to another collector.
Very nice '97+ Estoril E36 M3 sedan parked on the street in a neighborhood in Cloverdale. Haven't seen it before, perhaps evacuated to there from the fires?
Silver E39 M5 on Hwy 17 late night 11/11 - YOHB? That was some good fun.
850CSi spotted on California Ave. a few weeks back, sounded pretty nice. Also a dakar yellow E36 M3 or 328 mtech w/ black rims spotted at the gas station off the Millbrae Ave. exit 280-S. Used to be my neighbor I think as I remember you had some weird badging on the right side (super long). I live near Meadows Elementary. Hopefully I see your car again!
Saw a stock looking Techno Sedan at a Vietnamese Restaurant last night
very nice
Red E46 M3 lowered with wheels on 101 south this morning through San Rafael. Think I spotted a bimmerforums sticker. I talked to you from my V70R. Think it's been like 10 years since I was last on this forum.

Is there another active thread or is this the only "dead" one?
The latter, I'm afraid.
Well.... gonna revive this since I'm having SMOG issues and always good to see who's left in CA
To update this. I fixed my SMOG issues. Went from 144 HC (54 max) to only 48 or something HCs. Nox and Co also went down.
Spark plug change to 1 prong copper V NGKs, ran some injector cleaner (changed the oil after), and then changed the gas cap (to a BMW one from a blau) and a new fuel purge valve (both these fixed my EVAP issues).
So anyone running into high HC only... this is a good place to start. Cost was relatively cheap. Only thing that was expensive was the purge valve (BMW at 180ish). But I only got that one because the febi (or whatever) one was $38 and already had gone bad in less than 5k miles. NGK plugs were about 12 shipped for next day delivery from autozone, oil was leftover so really the fix cost me about $200.

I'll keep an eye out.
Haven't been active on these forums in ages... are there still car meets?
I'm pretty they have cars and coffee around still...not sure what else is out there.
A lot of us olde fucks have been lamenting about missing meets lately. Cars and Coffee still goes strong, and there's some monthly thing that goes on in San Jose, but those are early morning weekend ones and that's not everyone's thing.
We used to run a chill weekly one Wednesday nights after work in the Kohls parking lot (off Monument in Pleasant Hill) because it was a good central hub for everyone in the east bay. We never got any flack from the business owners, cops sometimes rolled through but generally it was a chill group with no burnouts or revving so nothing every happened. IDK what the crowd is these days or what that would attract though, seems like lots of drama and reckless kids in the scene these days, which is likely why they don't happen much or aren't advertised.
A private lot or underground garage would be pretty sweet, but odds on that happening are pretty low.
Yeah the car scene has changed a lot in the bay haha. To say it isn't entertaining to see on social media is an understatement... with 18 wheelers now and stuff. I did see the cars and coffee post. But like you said early morning gigs aren't for me especially with a kid now.
I do miss seeing M3s around the bay and talking to people about E36s. Favorite car I've owned. So glad that I was able to find another after mine was totaled
Will be at the Cars and Coffee on Treasure Island this Sunday. This seriously has to be the first one I'm going to in 10 years.
