Silver 328i sedan. Lowered. Zoomed passed me on pleasant hill access ramp then had a friendly run on 85. Looked like an older gentleman. Hard to tell from my rear view mirror.

Spotted Propcar I believe around 715 near West Egg on Howell Mill. Car looks great and sound awesome too. Makes me ashamed of my pollen covered car. Damn green shows everything.

I see a few e24s around town, any of them on here? I've seen a black one on.dekalb ave going towards downtown and a white one twice in Decatur that looked to be an older guy in it. Also a super nice whiteish 2002 around Scott Blvd

I was embarrassed you'd hear this clank clank noise I've been getting for the past two days or so at low speed... only seems to happen around first gear 5-20mph and just sounds like something hitting metal. Can't seem to find what it is though lol

Probably a drug bust car, I've seen that type of thing before. Confiscated in a raid and destined for the crusher, so might as well use it as a 'show' police vehicle.

I've never heard what a bad csb sounds like so can't say for sure.
I don't feel it in the driveline and I've heard it when comin to a stop as well but mostly when accelerating at very low speed and then it just dissapears, is never heard at higher speeds. Really does kind of sound like something hitting exhaust just like a metal on metal tapping sound and I hear it much more on the drivers side it seems.

Very interesting. We had an M5 in the shop recently that was making a very strange noise similar to that and it ended up being in the drive line somewhere. We didn't end up diagnosing exactly what it was, the customer wanted to save it for the next visit for the time being.

It's very odd, it doesn't happen during clutch engagement or when you let on or let off the gas, so it's not driveline 'movement' related. The noise isn't exactly the same every time in terms of loudeness or repetition so that would indicate to me not exactly driveline/rpm related either. I've heard the tapping/clanking when braking almost at a dead stop. I hear it when accelerating the most though like around 5-10 mph... then it's gone. If I put the windows up I don't hear it inside at all... it's only on the outside of the car. I've moved the exhaust around with my hand to see if it will make noise and nothing, push the car back and forth, nothing. Accelerate forward and brake hard nothing, reverse and then brake hard nothing. Only time I can really repeat it is going like 2k-3k rpm in first gear kinda slow, its driving me nuts.

I had a similar issue with my e30. Rebuilt the drive shaft and it was still there. Ended up being a lose weld on the cat seam that was vibrating. Facepalm
