Keep dreaming! My 305 R888s are a hair wider than my 315 PS2s. 315s would most certainly require some fender work

Think you could fit 305/35s? They have them in that size and 295/30.

305/35 is what I had. I believe they will fit but you'll get a good amount of rubbing from the combo of being wide and tall. Generally add 10mm of width going from a street tire to an r-compound

You can certainly run 295/30 all around with the proper suspension setup (or maybe 305/30 kumho v710 if you wanna push it)

My car gets driven to 110% in the alps on twisties and the occasional Nürburgring lap every summer. This year i went with Falken RT-615 tires and they were somewhat disappointing, now i have fitted her with Toyo R1Rs and see an immediate improvement. After engine mods etc. i'll work on finding a set of M Parallels in 18x11 for R888 295/30 or similar the rear, and 18x9.5 or similar with R1R 265/35 in the front.

Correct, an 18x10.5 will also fit a 295/30 quite nicely, but you're still looking at custom wheels to get them in that size. R1Rs or R888s will certainly serve you well. If only you were local, I have some 265/35/18 R888s just taking up space in my garage!

The RT-615 are WAY too soft for a car the weight of an 8, no doubt that they greased up an got slippery after only a few corners. I think the sidewalls are also a bit weak for a car so heavy, causing some instability

Yup. The sidewalls was the weakpoint. It kept dancing around. These R1Rs seem a lot better! I run T1R in the front, this gives it a perfect grip balance.

I know, i'd have to get them widened or something.. It's hard finding goodlooking rims for the 8-series! Only two i have found so far is the ones i have (AC Schnitzer Type I Racing) and M Parallels.

I've got it written down somewhere, I think they'll flow enough for 600hp with the v12. Expecting absolutely insane spool out of these things. As for the 315s, new they're about $500 a pop but I've been able to source 50% ones to keep the smiles/$ ratio high

Drifting is not the fastest way to go around a curve, and the ASC will take over and remove power.
This can be solved with a limited slip or Quaife diff, plus stickier rubber in the rear.

Brysons suspension is also supposed to be mega slick.

So if I would get 275 in Toyo R888 they will be wider than normal 275?

This has to be said, it's not just the R888s. The Falken RT-615 i had last year, and the Toyo R1Rs i have now, are considerably wider (i'd say similar to 285, maybe 290) than the PS2 275s i had on when i got the car (which were crap, btw.) I dare say the R1Rs are a hair wider than the RT-615s, which gave a completely straight sidewall on the ACs.

Very nice! I was half expecting to see some Carlos Fandgo setup just YouTube to understand that.

Nothing worse than wheels that don't fit under factory arches but they look perfect.

What kind of psi are you running ?

Didn't the 888's have problems cracking below 0 degrees ? Have they fixed that now ?

    Strange Toyo R888 Warning
We might be a little late off the mark with this as it was published on November 15th 2007 however we thought it was interesting enough to warrant inclusion.

Toyo Tyre USA have felt the need to put out an official customer advisory (TSD-07-001) warning that the R888, R1R and RA1 type rubber may experience cracking when operated in conditions at or below 0c (32f)

They go on to list 'best practice' for temperatures at or below freezing which worryingly includes "Do not operate the car with these tyres, as the tyres may suddenly fail."

News to all us track day enthusiasts I'm sure. We have emailed Toyo Europe to try and get an official comment.

If i recall correctly they are 9 and 10 inches wide. Front run normal 255s with straight sidewall, rear run R1R 275 with straight sidewall.
