    Windshield Washer Pump

Does anyone know if this is the correct washer pump part number for our cars? It looks nothing like the pump for our car and the reservoir is even different in the picture. I don't want to order the wrong thing. The seal in my pump is broken and the reservoir won't hold fluid. I fixed it once by taking the pump apart and adjusting the check valve, but it only worked for a little while before failing again.

    It doesn't look like mine, but I have a 1998 Z3 with a 2.8 (M44) engine and
    I don't have a headlight cleaning system.

I can't tell what car you have, let alone what options.

By the way, the pump is part number 67128377987 in the diagram (not 61608378148; that's the bottle). The pump looks familiar to me. It just pushes into the rubber seal 61661365657. That could be what is leaking.

If you have a coupe, you need the pump with two outlets if you intent to keep fluid flowing to the rear wiper.

I just installed my reservoir and pump last weekend. That pump is not for a coupe, it might be ok for a roadster. It only has one output on it. The coupe will have two outputs on it, one for the front and one for the rear windshield washer. Bavarian Auto sells both the pump for 70.95 and the gromet for 2.95. Other places might be cheaper but I knew I saw them there.

If you removed the rear wiper like most people, then you only need the single outlet pump.

You can always hook the other outlet up to a second nozzle behind the kidneys to spray pedestrians in the crosswalk.

This won't help you at all, but just get rid of it. It's not like your driving the car in conditions where you need it.

The only thing my fluid pump has ever done for me is given me a shower when I hit the wrong stalk as I try to adjust cruise control (sadly, I've done this on multiple occasions).

I haven't had a functioning windshield washer system in years.

The new euro 2.5L tank and nozzles are brand new, but I have yet to actually hook up the lines and fill it with anything.

Right guys, I selected my m coupe on realoem and that's the digram that came up. It doesn't look right because us coupe guys need the dual outlet washer. If anyone can give me the right number, i'd appreciate it.

On second inspection, the part is called 'double wash pump.'

I have the same situation and I'm running into the same problems looking for the correct pump (and tank). (I'll be retaining the rear washer.)

    Any help is appreciated.

I can't find in my records what I ended up buying. Whatever I bought was the right one though.

The part number for the coupe is 67128377987. It is $48.96 from thebmwpartstore.com and is listed as a double pump. The number for a roadster is different (67128362154) and is $40.80. Realoem.com uses the same drawing for both vehicles. These are for US cars without headlight washers.

Excellent! And looking at things now, I should have been able to figure that one on my own.
They actually are labeled well enough on realoem.com.
