2004 530i 202k and running strong
Yesterday on way to bringing my dad to pick up his 2012 535i I hit 112k in my 2009 528i, just had the original battery replaced at the stealership as well.
Been going against the grain since I was a sapling.
My 2009 528i just turned the clock at 130k, xxx miles.
I drove it from Dallas, TX to Los Angeles (round trip, about 1800 miles each way) plus whatever additional driving when I was there. Did a straight shot (27 hour drive with minimal rest - both the BMW and myself) and the car performed without any hesitation. This was with 2 people and a backseat and trunk full of luggage, etc.
I hope to get many more miles out of this car.
211K Miles - One Owner.
My 2008 528i now has 105k on the clock. It has bee the best car I've ever owned. I still get a thrill driving it.

Anyone replaced their shocks/sturts? If so, around what mileage did you do so?
2008 M5, just under 25k. It is throwing a "increased emissions code" not sure what that's about. Have not gotten around to taking it in.
During my DIY 100k service/PM, in Sept 2014. Installed Koni FSD damper set and the car drives better than when I picked it up in April of 2005.

Cool. I'm about 135k miles now and no problems. Shocks/Struts seem to be holding up ok. Will probably replace with Bilstiens.
i do have the notorious engine oil cap/cover leak. did an oil change, and hopefully the new o-ring that came in the oil kit seals it up!
Justin4586,
I have a 2008 E60 with 69k miles on it and no problems. I had an E39 with 210k on it until a pathfinder destroyed it. My 99' 323i has 191 on it and you can't hear it run. At 46k, you have a lot of miles to go before major problems. I will say that whenever a small problem develops, don't procrastinate, get it looked at by a reliable BMW mechanic.
2009 550i w/ M Sport suspension. 172K miles & no issues other than a barely-noticeable oil leak (need to replace valve/timing cover seals) and small fluid leak from the dynamic drive swaybar pump). Ride quality is good (mostly highway miles) but I will replace shocks/struts with OEM equivalent Bilstiens & see if it improves.
Advice: Switch to Michelin pilot super sport tires and your ride will dramatically improve.
On this N62 V8, I've never had the dreaded valve stem seal or coolant pipe o-ring leak that others have talked about. This is a late model (Oct) 2009. Could it be possible that BMW addressed these issues by then?
Hmm.. not to be too dispiriting... but my E60 (2004 545i) is at 88k miles... I got it at 76k. It is currently dead in my driveway, with some obscure electrical problem that has it completely incapacitated...
Also, it has already displayed two severe but short extreme smoking moments (valve stem seals).
It also has an intermittent starter problem... thats a 10hr job with BMW, and a $1,700 bill... not sure I have the gumption to do that one on my own... it involves some serious dismantling.
I hope y'all have better luck...

2004 530i with 185k
A couple of annoying issues like faulty windshield wiper motor, negative battery cable, and oil leaking to name a few but runs strong!
Its a love hate relationship.
