Cant pass this deal so we took a chance to replace my wife’s 2001 525i 105k miles with this car
W/o 65 style wheels , i already have 2 OEM 18" sets so not a big deal for me
Also my wheels cant be better than bimmerfimer wheels
First impressions :
Car was extremely well maintained and very clean , owner had a 3d party warranty till 80k miles with ton of receipts
Oil / filter changed by dealer every 5-7k miles ( have all receipts )
All major items like Brakes, T-T, SAP, CCV, hoses, VCG, DISA , Oil filter gasket, fluids, filters, belts, trust front bushing, sway bars , etc were replaced in last 2 years
New to me DSP sound great after stock BMW stereo ( DSP AMPLIFIER-RADIO replaced 1 year ago )
Sport suspension with my favorite steering rack & pinion is very smooth
Next steps :
I want to retrofit sunshade package , – looking for any good link
Vanos seals
Plans for Summer project :
ESS Supercharger , looks like fantastic kit
And yes my green 2001 525i 105k is for sale !

Great purchase. Looks very clean.
So you are going to supercharge this for your wife and leave yours stock? Does not compute.

The chassis must always be regarded as a means to an end and never as an end itself
thanks !
I'll do a compression test and decide which one is better to SC
I guess this one is a winner due to low miles ... then one good restaurant and we will do a swap

Beautiful car!
Still my favorite E39 but I may haz teh bias.
Geezer
We both know that better than 2003 530i Sport Auto can be only 2003 530i Sport Manual
Same team. Different position.
Congrats my comrade! Pick up before they all dis-appear. Nice color combo.
I bought a car too today but not a bimmer
haha
winter time is a time to buy a dream cars
This is exactly what i told to my wife , - before Best of Last Old School 5 Series all dis-appear !!

Looks super clean.
How long do you think the auto trans will last once supercharged?
They provide software for both engine and steptronic transmission
I do not plan to go more than Stage 1 kit ( should i ?? )
This is the plan ( There is no comparison between a 540i )
2003 E39 M5
Weight: 1,825kg
Power: 400bhp
Torque: 368ft lbs
219 bhp per tonne
202 ft lbs per tonne
2003 E39 530i ESS S/C
Weight: 1,585kg
Power: 325bhp
Torque: 300ft lbs
205 bhp per tonne
189 ft lbs per tonne

Sounds awesome!
the difference in power per tonne is only around 7% but the difference in 530i steering rack & pinion handling is much more
now someone must destroy my dream

I <3 you Igor.
This car looks so very clean. I think the wheels might be replicas, but I love them too.
Bottom line, this car looks and sounds sweet.
PS: POST in my H&R thread on page 2 so I can reply with new photos!

thanks BF
as i said "my wheels cant be better than bimmerfimer wheels" so i bought this car w/o 65 style wheels ( they are OEM from factory ) , the classic 18" 5 style are going in this summer

Nice find! Congrats.
heated sport seats and the black trim are nice bonuses, congrats!
Why the supercharger on a 530 instead of a 540? Rack and pinion? Should be awesome Be sure to keep us updated, but I know you will.

looks good
Can I have your interior? Looks awesome
Nice purchase, the E39s are just classics. The black interiors are my favorite, I like them so much in fact both my cars have black interiors. When looking for my 2nd 530i it was non-negotiable (along with Xenons).
My first add on is always to replace the old cell phone cradle armrest with the non-sliding Euro version, so much more comfortable and practical.
2003 530iA Sport - Titangrau Metallic/Schwarz Montana
Build Codes: ZSP/ZPP/ZCW. Born on date: 09/02, Dingolfing, Deutschland
|NAV MKIV WAZE | PP | CWP | Xenons | Style 42s | Rear Shades | OEM ULF Bluetooth | Euro Armrest | Beisan Vanos Seals | OEM Aux Input |
Nice find, love the combination..
How much you selling the other E39?
...Nice and Simple...
comrade !
didn't even see that inner trim is a black haha ... so natural look ... thank you Sir
thank you Sir
I believe that "common brain" is much better than only my brain , people talk , you think
Don't want to discuss 540i problems but I really like I6 handling so a bit more power for the perfect car
should satisfy my requirements
True love never end ...
thank you Sir
This was one of reasons for replacement ( my old is beige )
I am a fun of black interior as well
Right, Xenons and black interior are non-negotiable for me as well
You can retrofit Xenon ( i did on 2001 525i , awesome mode ) but change interior is too much for me
I know many people do Euro version but I like OEM look
Will see later , first Shades mode
Taking in consideration that my 2001 525i has around $8k investments in last 4 years I think something around $9k may be the right price
I have some time till spring to sale it , no hurry
