Azngouki: No i bought the LTW wing years ago. Its MA Shaw.
Are you ever going to track it? If not, why add the cage?

GbreeE90: No, never, its going to sit in a garage and get waxed every night haha omg....
After reading this entire thread I'm genuinely curious as well, do you track it?
First post indicates that he plans to track it.
first post was 3 years ago
Just seems odd how he's going all out on the body itself, but the minute it hits the track it's going to be plagued with issues that the s52 has under a track environment (oil pump issues etc)
Either way, love the work OP. Hopefully all the work is worth it in the end. Driving something like that on the street in Australia would result in it being taken off the road by police within days, lol.
Yes i am going to track it, but i built this to drive. It is not something that gets waxed every night and polished to sit and collect dust for another three weeks just to be waxed and polished again.
Its also not some trailer queen for the track, i drive it, everyday, its my daily driver.... yes, its my ONLY car.
Whoever said above that it will be plagued by issues the second it hits the track is well..... i wont say it, but i should. What i will say is that I would put this car up against any car i have ever personally seen in real life at an event or on a track or in a showroom and i guarantee my car would make it through the race, drive, event whatever... maybe NOT WIN but FINISH for SURE.
My car has been beat to shit to be honest, broken, slammed, driven and rode hard every singe day. It boggles my mind the motor is still running and not only that, it eats the roads up like they are candy. Like it has a soul and it will never die. If you ask my real friends, or my brother, there is not a single day from day one six years ago it has not been to red line at least five times a day.
Also for the person who said it would be plagued by issues, It was worth every single minute and second of the work to be able to drive a car like this every single day of my life. It is the best part of my day everyday, most only dream of seeing a car like this, let alone drive one once, and i get to drive it every single day....
BTW, you know what happens to me every time i drive it? Every single time i drive this car some kid, women, or man is out the window on the highway with a camera or phone. Every single time. When you create an object be it a boat, airplane, car, art or whatever that draws and lures people to that degree the feeling you have inside is indescribable. When you personally create it, not go buy a Ferrari, when you build it, very few ever get a chance to have that feeling and the fact this car has given it to me makes it worth more then any amount of money or time you could ever offer me...
Cheers to people that love the build and to the ones that doubt it and criticize it, well i don't need to say anything... my life is a dream to most...
PS: Update coming has something to do with Porsche if all pans out.....
Nice car dude
Is it going to get tracked or raced? The reason I ask is that there are extremely specific designs for an interior rollcage and there look to be some choices that I am not sure are legal for most mainstream sanctioning bodies. I do love a white E36 with graphics though...
Mark
Great build! Don't let the naysayers bring you down! Love the fact that you drive it on the street (cue for naysayers to commence 4951st discussion about safety of diving with cage on street)!

Wow this thing really came out great. I think it gets better every time I sees a new pic of it. Nice work.

I will start to update this thread again. I have finally pulled the wrap off the car and the primer coat is over the carbon fiber body now. I wanted to keep it all clear carbon but the car didn't look good, it looked all two tone and yeah its getting painted.
Soooo, as of today the car has a fully rebuilt all oem front end, i repurchased everything from Germany before it is NLA forever. Got a new bumper, trim, lip ltw brackets, ltw tray, ltw splitters and all the hardware.....
Its looks epic, it was not cheap.....
Car sits in matte white primer as of today and i will update this week with pictures. The car also has french lights now... pretty much looks completely different from what i just posted haha
This will be the last winter this car is left hand drive as well. The car is currently being prepped to become right hand drive using all oem parts of course.
The wing is new as well, found a oem wing from a friend and sold the MA Shaw.
Trying to think of other updates, i did PFC rotors and new brake pads all around.
Also switched back to OEM LTW wheels, they are graphite currently but will be refinished to the OEM full polish.
The color i am painting the car will be a surprise but it will be very unique to say the least.
I have a question if anyone knows, will this be the only RHD " true M3" car with a cage and widebody in the USA?
Thanks again kids and much love for bimmerforums, i have learned so much from this community, please feel free to ask questions i will reply as soon as possible.

Nice job. Any interest in some true Motorsport wheels? I’ll be selling my magnesium BBS e28s along with the centerlock adapters as soon as I get the tires removed.
Busterhax: PM me and yes possibly... haha
Here is a few pictures of my brothers Aston too, i wrapped it white for fun. It literally snowed the night i finished and i uncovered this thing in the morning with the snow all over it, had to take pictures it was epic
Pretty crazy transformation and the snow added so much it was beautiful to see and drive.... made it a real experience i will never forget, almost felt like i brought the snow
The two days before i worked on it and the night it snowed i finished the wrap
The car is a 07 six speed casino gray on black vantage v8 with 11,000 miles. Currently its got more miles and may be leaving the family sadly..... My brother is not doing well and has been in and out of the hospital all year long
He almost sold but not sure yet, i will update if its officially for sale. Thanks e
Ohhh almost forgot, i did not cut on this car, we used like close to $200 in cutting tape, the hardest part was when i did the front, i wanted to leave the gray and recreate the famous two tone look of "lips" on the front of the aston.
I posted a close up, it came out perfectly i was happy. We used Avery Dennison film, its matte white.
I used 3M 1080 on my car again with cutting tape. Both are good materials but 3M is stronger, Avery is delicate but that's why it made the Aston look so good because it laid very easy and smooth
