No trheads just doing step by step.

It is stock internals m60b44 and daily driver.
Next issue is air filter, need better one,now it resist 50hp. http://www.bmcairfilters.com/conical...0p_d683_1.aspx

When that is solved then e85

SC is spinning now 56000 rpm and there is better bearings good for 70000 rpm.

Are you running about 12psi now? Which intercooler are you using?
Got any pics? (I saw your run videos, looks great)

It is 14-15psi now but earlier was 19 psi with stock m60b40. Don´t remember cooler brand, but better is on TO DO list someday.
Clutch is sachs -765 and 4 puck sinter but it is slipping. Whic is right preload? And do you have any ideas for better airfilter?

There is nothing special, olmoust everything is stock. Exhaust headers are made by myself and good headers are must if you want power over 450hp with SC.

Still wanna see a build thread. Headers are gonna be an expensive custom job im sure..
Also are you talking 450 BHP or RWHP? Cuase even the stock headers are a tight fit!

If you look closely, there's a normal throttle body at the front of that massive intake/cooler. Though he does apparently have a fully built block underneath all that pretty...

M62 with S62 crankshaft and Darton sleeved with Arrow rods and JE pistons. The intake runners are a part of the aftercooler kit. I will powder coat again after I get a decent tune and drive her for a while. And Vortech V2 Ti supercharger with 034 Motorsport WI. Stock headers on 616 rwhp/580 rwtq on 11 psi.

My first day driving my 540i/6 after the new engine install and s/c kit, I went sideways 3x after a stop sign. Partly because I also have a Clutch Masters FX 850 racing/street clutch. But I am used to it now.

BigM62 you can have much more power with headers and less heat.

Haven´t got better airfilter but did minor modifications and get better responce and some power.

Look like there lots more power to be made from the vortech kit on the m60b40.
I've had my ESS 7psi kit and even with a lowly 330rwhp it goes really well. The old owner installed a 9psi pulley and it reportedly made just over 400rwhp but he removed it as he stated there was belt slip and the car was too fast. Maybe he was mistaking belt slip for ignition breakdown as I suffered this even at 7psi. There was a strange 4 pronged bosch plug in there and I replaced them on advice to the 1 colder ngk and gapped lower and all is good.

I like the look of the intercooler. Is it commercially available on its own. ?
also can the ESS software cope with the 9psi pulley and still run the car safely? I plan also to install the water/meth injection.

It depends how You drive, how hot engine is usually. Going to smaller waterpump pulley is one good thing. partnumber 4 and 104mm
    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...49&hg=11&fg=35

There is many things making it hard to say is it safe to drive with 9 psi pulley but if You have good exhaust and gasoline pump so it should be ok.

Not all at once guys! Today im looking into doing MLS head gaskets before i run boost just to ensure the HG are fesh and extra strong. And i can boost a bit more right from the start.. 9-12psi.~ Maybe.

The mls will lower the comp ratio so technically u can run more boost or more aggressive timing.

Intercooler will help. When I sort a water/air intercooler I'll post up pics.

Are those eBay ones any good ?

Wait....What? I believe the belt slip, but he said it was too fast?
    Baaaaahahahaha!

The ESS software is meant to offer a conservative baseline for the 7lb pulley. If you decide to step up to a smaller pulley, you may want to consider a programmable WAR chip to optimize the performance. You should also add a tensioner to get a better wrap around the smaller pulley.

...then eliminate all vacuum leaks and get it properly tuned

    - - - Updated - - -

    ....oh and get an intercooler.

Yes the intercooler is prob #1.

Also ive jist picked up another Strim for my e36. I also have the better bearings and seals from 928motorsport. They also have an upgraded impeller to give output similar to Ttrim which looks a good alternative to make more boost at same impeller rpm.
    Anyone use this upgraded impeller.

Nobody makes headers for E34 540i. And I need low end torque here in Cali.
