programming eeprom for OBC 4 E34

Hi everyone, This is my first post here and would need some help.

More exactly i have retrofitted a OBC 4 on a 520i E34 (ordered code plug chip 93c46 and soldered in the OBC) and after some fiddling with the battery now it show error PPPP. After tryed all solutions found on the forums i suspect the chip got wiped due to a voltage spike or something.
Since this car is a project and i will try to retrofit many extras on it, i would connect and disconnect the battery many times and don't want to wipe that eeprom.
Don't want to wait another 2-3 weeks and spend another 60 pounds for a 2 pounds chip and would like to rewrite in on my own. Basically want to clone that chip and was asking what is the recommended to use programmer for the 93c46 chip and if you may have the code that must be written on it for the 520i model.

I use an ezp2019 for recoding gauge cluster chips, 93c56 I believe. The 46 should also be compatible.

meantime i done some research on russian forums and found out some tips. 93c56 chip is inside cluster code plug on 525,530,535 and so on. that means the cars that can use a OBC without code plug. cluster code plug have a different firmware that also contains vin and km of the car.

I also ordered a ezp2019 + chips 93c46 + firmware's and wait them to arrive

Hi Tomytza, I am very keen and looking into the idea of programming my chip so that the oil temperature will work correctly instead of as a economy guage. I am very new to this so I was hoping if you can set me up on the right path. Do I start by getting the ezp2019?

Hi there, if anyone can help me out with this, I will be really grateful. My meter is a 240km/hr meter. I'm hoping to successfully switch over to the M5 meter and get the Oil temp gauge functioning correctly. Would there be another way to get the oil guage working without touching the code plug? The car runs a M50 24v engine.

Hi. I really done know how the m5 get the signal for the oil temp. May be a direct wire from the sensor to the cluster or it could be a wire from sensor to mcu then to the cluster.
