Yes, yes it is.....as you probably could figure out by now, I use old crap that I have at hand for mock up. That battery is no different....it actually came with the car haha. If you look closer, you'll see some silver on it, which is overspray when someone shot the valence/grill area. Don't worry, I have plans for some nice Optima! Hehe
I only want the best your car!

Haven't been on much lately and just found your thread. Subscribed. Awesome work Man...just awesome.
Thnx man..... N thnx for subscribing
So I got the new cross drilled and slotted rotors with some great ceramic pads today....that should eliminate dust about 80% or so along with stopping improvements....Love it!
Words of advisement:
I personally would not use the caliper paint from Summit Racing ever again. If I were going to do my brakes all over again, I would definitely powder coat them in a heartbeat! I went with this paint cause of the color. Its awesome red, way nicer then the powder I got and I really dint have time to be waiting around for new powder, then testing then possibly order more....it could be a month before I got the brakes done!!
Anyways...I did everything as per manufacturer specs, cleaned the calipers, sanded them down, cleaned them again, painted, then even used clear coat from the same manufacturer....as per instructions, I baked all parts for an hour at 200 deg F.....and still, if you look at them wrong they will chip in a blink of a eye! Nothing compared to the powder coating I've done before.....
The paint and clear is made by VHT and again, available through Summit Racing....
Also while I had couple min before I had to get ready for work, I slapped some Bondo onto the valance

Watta ya doin for speedo?, Diff?
Hi there Ski .... Love the progress on your baby , she's coming up great and the work you are doing is fantastic , Congrats ..... love it .
read through this thread again and I'm inpressed that your engine bay was painted out of a can.... bloody fantastic , question though . Are you going to paint the car in the same colour ??????
keep up the good work my friend ..... Horacio or you can call me "H" , everyone else at work does ....
Oh absolutely H, as soon as I get her running, interior redone etc, the body is last....you know it's easier to paint the whole car later, the paint the car now and paint the engine bay later when the engine is in and running haha
I've always wanted a yellow car, so this is it ....plus how many E21's in yellow have you seen in the past 30 yrs right?
Thank you for following my thread and being a fan...I appreciate all words of encouragement and ideas any time....
Looking good brother.
I have seen a yellow 320 and 323i before and they are different.
The yellow 323i had an M50 in it...people loved it..
By the way I went with an upgraded Hartge/Girling front volvo dual piston setup for the front and I could not powdercoat as the pistons are in there and would have to be removed - prior to the powdercoat.

Love it!!!! Yeah, I had them all stripped bare before painting too.... I'm kinda mad
The dual pistons of the volvos make it hard to take them out to powdercoat so you are left with painting them. Thats what I did. Now I am doing the same thing on the e30 325i rear calipers that I am putting on the rears....
Nice work, keep it up....I am sure its gonna be nice when its gets done...

Today I finished my brakes...all around all mounted and connected....All I need now is to bleed them along with the clutch.
I will be using DOT-5 brake fluid....Its twice as good as DOT 3/4 and its harmless to the paint....my kinda product!
Test fit of the headlights to the grilles to the bumper.....I think all is looking good!
