    kit info

Followed your thread. Assumed I would apply this magic to my 540. Even bought a low mile '01 Formula T56 for the donor. But now thinking I should ditch the lackluster M54/auto in my 525iT.
Need pricing all the way around as I have couple customers interested as well.

Thanks for all your efforts sir!

I'm not sure, my first thought is no. There's no real good way to get accurate measurements of the mounting points. And the LT intake will probly be too tall.

The bolt pattern and port shape are different on the LT vs. the LS. And I have no way to know if the mounts will work on an LT.

I don't want to sell you stuff that's not gonna work. Lol

Will not work on the LT1...at least not without fabbing/starting over. LT1 mounts are SBC mounts.

JF, what's the install procedure on these headers particularly the driver side. I'm guessing it has to be done from the bottom up?

You have to disconnect the steering shaft from the rack, push it into the firewall and install from the bottom up.

Yes, but with this new design 1 7/8" should fit easily. I'm planning on making myself a 1 7/8" set soon.

How costly would it be to get the single tubes bent with more of the bends? Seems like your build costs are tied up in the cutting/fitting/welding ops.

To have the tubes bent full length, or even in sections, it would be extremely costly. I emailed and talked to a few different mandrel bending companies and they said to make it worth their time programming each piece into their bender they'd need a minimum order of 20 SETS @ $1000 ea.

I don't have that kinda cash to sit on. Lol

I even emailed American racing headers, they said they already do BMW swap headers for Vorshlag. Never heard anything past that.

A machine shop a few doors down from my work has a mandrel tube bending machine. He decided it was worth purchasing after paying so much for an outside vendor to bend up tubes. Out of curiousity, I'll ask him what diameter capacity his machine has and whether/how he could do complex profiles.

I've debated buying a mandrel bender as well, and just selling bends online like a company local to me does. But they're certainly not cheap. Lol

I've been thinking of making a spare 1 3/4" set to send around for quotes. It's kind of hard to give accurate prices off of emailed pictures.

I think Bassani does the charge piping for Hellion Turbo kits. Might be worth a shot.

I have no idea. Doesn't the 740 have a steering box?

I think Bmwman528e's kit fits the 7 series.
