    Thanks for the props... here's a few more from this week....







    The wheels are just temporary roll around wheels... I have a set of refinished, staggered style 42's for it and obviously I have not painted the skirts, bumpers, wing or accessories yet, but it continues to get closer to being done.

    ... and remember, this car started out as a $300 325e non-running, lachsilber shell, over 2 years ago... lots of effort to get it to this point, but will be well worth it in the end. Projected completion date is middle of May...

    91BMW325i: Love the green, probably my favorite color for a vert too. Too bad it's not all too common.

    crlsjcb05: Oh gosh, IMO your car is just tits!

    Here's mine test fitting the new race setup:

    Wheels: D-Force 17x8.5 et 40. Fronts have a 12mm spacer, needing 5mm at min to clear GC coils. Rear has plenty can use a 10mm spacer, usually I run 17x9s back there.
    Tires: Dunlop Star Specs 235/40/17. Rubbing just before full lock at the rear of the front fender well, due to their diameter. Tires shaved 4/32 as well.

    Thanks man... what is the brake setup you're running? I see the Wilwoods in the rear, are there Wilwoods in the front, as well? I also see the 5 lug swap, so what you're running intrigues me, since I have 5 lug swapped mine and would like to move up to Wilwoods, front and rear at some point. P/N's and specs would be great.

    Yes, car is 5 lugged, with 97m3 front brake setup, and Massive Lee's 318ti rear brake setup.

    The problem using the 318ti rear brakes is in the math of the piston sizes. Brake bias is almost 60-70% off, by using Lee's setup, it's brought back to within 1% of stock brake bias. Still, to take advantage of it, one should remove the rear brake limiter under the booster and install a proportioning valve instead to dial in the brakes for track usage.

    Before the fronts would lock up and the rears were just along for the ride. At least now I can safely emergency stop. There is no advantage (except for pad cost and caliper deflection (rotor cooling as well.) to going "BBK" in the front.

    And as far as being "too nice to race." I'd only consider an E30 M3 too nice to race ;-) I only Auto-X for now, because this still is a DD, and I don't like the idea of rubber from a car in front of me pelting my car.

    Hey, thanks for the reply...
    I have the same setup in the front, but used the E32 735i rear calipers, which are the same P/N as the E30 M3 rears, but numerically are still far from ideal. The rest of my brake system will support anything I throw at it... I'm using Wilwood's new, triple overhung pedal assembly with three 5/8" bore Wilwood MC's, Wilwood's prop valve, Tilton's triple reservoir, all custom made lines and yes, no booster. Pretty much straight racetrack stuff, but since I built the car from the ground up, I figured I should just use the best as the foundation and I can add to it when I decide to...

    I'll look at Lee's 318 BBK and see...
