Arrow Looking for YELLOW H3 Bulbs....

Anyone have yellow fog bulbs that they recommend?
Any pics? Where can I get them?

Also, what's the highest wattage would you put or have put in your H3 bulbs?

    Thanks

i had PIAA Ion Yellow H3 bulbs and now have them for my highbeams (h1). color is VERY yellow and i really like it. there should only be 1 wattage for the PIAA bulbs so just stick to that

    all lights on:

    hope this helps

    Aaron,

    1) How did you mount the H1 in your highbeam socket? My highbeam is H7.... Did you mean to say H7? Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something here.

    2) Did you do anything special for the HID fogs? Do they blind oncoming traffic? That is my next mod if it won't blind oncoming traffic.

    3) Where did you mount the ballast for the HID fogs?

    Thanks Aaron!!!

I did my low beams, high beams and fog lights all HID. The only difficult ones were the fog lights since the bulb is long and you have to retrofit the metal piece insdie the foglights that sends the beams sideways.

    here are some answers:

    1) oops. my mistake. far too early in the morning/afternoon for this engineer. i meant H7!

    2) the fogs don't blind oncoming traffic as they are aimed downwards by default. i aimed them a bit lower just to make sure i wouldn't fire a whole lot of 6000k light at oncoming traffic. in addition, there is a diffuser inside the foglight that makes it so that the light isn't directed forward, but rather to the sides and straight down to the ground.

    3) the ballast/ignitors for the foglights were mounted inside my front bumper. at first they were just sitting in my underbody because i didn't have the guts to remove my front bumper, but after a little while i decided that it wasn't a good idea to have them sliding around down there and had them mounted.

like johngoga said, the tricky part about NORMAL hid bulbs is that they won't fit in the foglight assembly without modification to the diffuser inside the foglights. i bypassed this by purchasing a Catz H3C kit, which is essentially a shorter bulb intended for use in H3 foglights.

    hope this helps!

Nah, you don't want one. That same bug passed around here about a year ago. It might infect all E38 owners, be aware.
