That M3 is fantastic looking . . . :-)
Cruise control came today
Winter protection detail done
That cruise control must've set you back a pretty penny! I know the module alone is worth about an arm, maybe a leg.
How do you like the Continentals on your wheels? At least, they looked like Contis from the pictures.
Yeah they are conti's! The previous seller put them on before he sold to me . . .
The cruise control cost £100, I will be changing the module for a newer one (see below) that can work with the MF steering wheel controls.
Some more parts arrived!
Mudflaps
Spare washer jet grill panel
Battery Cut Off
Multifunctional Steering wheel controls from an E39 M5 & 7 wire slip ring
E39/E46 Cruise control modules, these allow the use of the MF buttons rather than the E36 CC stalk
Motorsport X Brace
Convertible glove box lock (locks with central locking)
Second PDC kit, with full wiring loom right up to the glovebox and the coupe corner trims that I need
I have a genuine fire extinguisher coming and that will be the last of the buying!
Keep em coming, cool parts.
nice build thread.
looks like you like the OEM options.
a few questions.
1/ what does the ASC button do?
2/ do you run 20mm spacers on the fronts to clear the calipers?
3/ how loud is the exhaust?
(when i deleted the centre muffler it was way too noisey for road use)
I would advise to manufacture some sort of heat shield for the intake to seperate the cold incoming air with the engine heat. Its a pretty easy thing to do and with some black paint it can look OEM.

Thanks for the comments!
Gaz,
I am using the ASC for a fuel cut off, handy to have as well as the alarm and other security should someone decide to try and "borrow" it.
I am running front spacers, I haven't measured them but there still is very little clearance between the caliper and the wheel.
The exhaust is not crazy loud, although I done a 200mile journey on Friday and it was noticeable! I think the backbox holds in a bit of the noise from it. This exhaust is quite raspy between 2000-2500rpm.
The filter is only a temp measure, I will do something using the factory box or else get a gruppe m.
you can never have too much secuirty - nice.

I don't know where it came from originally, it was put up for sale on e36coupe.com last week for £5 posted! (It is brand new and unused) :-)
A simple cut off switch can be more effective than anything else. An old civic of mine got broke into, the guys screwed the hole ignition apart (even lining the screws neatly on the floor), bypassed the immobiliser and alarm but could not get it started. They cranked at it until the battery died . . . I also had a simple fuel pump cut off switch in the glove box so they never got it going lol.
I should say also, I seen a set of genuine Bosch yelloow headlights the other night and bought them, plus what should be genuione yellow fogs!
If the look gets tiring, I can always change back again. I really realy like them on yours though

Well...
To each their own.
Still a very nice car. I'm quite fond of that unique interior.
Thanks,
The Gurney flaps probably aren't to everyones taste, but I do like them. I love that DTM type era.
I would like to get a set of originals, but until then these peak performance (from Oz) will do the job.
Some people don't like the original GT / class II spoiler either, but it was originally used so that the spoiler blocks could be added for extra downforce.
The OEM gurney flaps were sold as an aerodynamic package for extra downforce also. I definitely would change to the OEM if I could find them . . .
lol, the spoiler itself is the standard OEM on on the GT's, with the extra rubber gurney flaps.
I personally don't like them with the raiser blocks in unless it is a full on race car.
That grey spoiler is cool, where can I get one? :P
Wow you really want to make that point don't you.
I love the look of the GT spoiler with the risers. And it is functinal which makes it quite legitimate.
You have to look at the whole car to appreciate how it blends in.
I am not crazy about the look of the gurney flaps though. Particularly because they are black.
This look is better but you just have to figure out how to get one on the upper part of the spoiler.
I have never seen one in the flesh with the spoiler blocks, I do like the idea of having them though. I would be sad enough to buy and paint a set "just to have" lol
The second pic, the lower gurney flap looks a lot like mine only painted.
The rubber wouldn't keep the paint for long I'd say. I personally though love them black. I always loved the e30 m3's with gurney flaps also.
As I said though, I would change these for an OEM pair if I could get them,
I wouldn't have know that Jim! It looks to be a good fit.
I am in no major rush to do anything big to the car now for a while.
I fitted the corner PDC trims and ran the cabling across the bumper for it.
I'll clean up and fit (once I get new bolts from BMW) the x brace, fit the mudflaps and see from there.
I got a few more parts since, genuine BMW (Bosch) Yellow Headlights & OEM (Hella) Yellow foglights/
Fitted them today, haven't set the gaps etc . . .
Parking Sensors
E46 M3 Crank Pulley, used to underdrive the engine.
The headlights won't be to everyone's tastes, but I always liked them since seeing thisone online a few years back . .

Sweet! I was waiting for someone to fit an E46 crank pulley. It's lighter than the E36 version as well, no?
Once fitted you'll have to write up your experience (and whether or not you noticed much of a difference)!
I don't know if there is a weight difference (I will check when I change it).
It should underdrive the pulleys and free up the revs a bit. I probably won't be changing it for a few weeks yet though.
Soooooooooo HOT
Niceeeeeeee
