    Were there years that had only LSD? I thought I understood that pre-91 M70 cars were all S3.15. Is this actually the case?
    Black on Black 740i - 10/92 build date, 225,000 miles.
    Delphin on Cherry 533i - 4/84 build date, 136,000 miles
    Black on Black 328i - 3/96 build date, 185,000 miles - Sold

    Shogun, if I am reading the chart right, my 92 735i has a 4.27 diff? That explains a few things!

    Yes that is correct Jim.

    That list is only partially correct for the NA automatic 735i(L). In 88 They came with a 3.64, then they went to 3.91 (I think in 89), sometime in late 1990-on they went to 4.27.

    LSD was optional on the pre-91 M70 cars which were all 3.15, then they all got the 3.64 open diff as the cars came with ASC.
