After trying to hook up my throttle cable i noticed it has a 45 degree bend. Im unsure what cable is in my car as it came as a total frankensteined together car.
I guess my question is: will the throttle cable work with my m50 /w m50 manifold? The motor that came in the car was an m50tu with what I think is an m52 intake manifold with the cyclone under it. No ASC. And if it works how are you supposed to be mounting it? Realoem really isnt much help.
Car is a 94

They have the same throttle cable. There's 2 part numbers, but they are exactly the same cable.. I bought both a few months ago because I was also unsure for my replacement.
The cable comes out of the firewall by the brake booster, then bows down the side of the throttle, the curve feeds it to the linkage.
Yep, thats what I was thinking. Am i really supposed to force that rubber bushing between the bracket? Theres 2 holes. Also 2 holes on the throttle itself. I suppose you stick it through both on the throttle somehow
I remember slots, not holes, but it wouldn't matter which. And yes, force the grommet into the bracket after feeding the end of the cable through. Might have to put the end of tenable on the linkage first, can't remember. It wasn't a difficult job to remember anything specific more than that.
