There's a huge variety of members here with different tastes, and in order for this forum to work a certain level of respect is needed with people recognizing the difference between constructive criticism and rude, uncalled for statements.

OEM M-pars or Style 65. Case closed. e39 should look elegant and classy.

Wow. These wheels completely kill the e39... looks like a Chevy Caprice cop car:

Now, in regards as to what looks best, I really like the OEM M5 Wheels or LM's.

My dad had a set of Mille Miglia 1000s(?) those five spoke set. Loved the look of them on an e39.

I can see the resemblance in that they're both round and 5 spoked but you're comparing apples and oranges.

I still think ACS Type II's are the best. They fit the character of the E39 well, both have smooth rounded profiles accented by sharp character lines and edges, plus I'm a big fan of Concavity over lip. As far as OEM wheels I have to agree on style 65's.

Yea that's what I have, Mille Miglia M11. They're my favorite 17 inch wheels on the e39, mainly because they look more like 18s from some angles.

Gotta agree with that. Still love style 5's though too, BMW's best 17" wheel ever made.

You ask any ricer, any serious ricer. It doesn't matter if the other guy is racing or not. A win is a win.
