Just a quick update. charlie is awaiting a few parts from germany and will be sending all the shifter linkages etc within a week or so and the csi clutch should be here within a week or so as well i will update shortly with pics
Cool car! Good luck with all the work...
An update on the sterro system here. I bought a kicker 500/4 amp for the jl audio
speakers and figured out how to mount it. i am currently in the process of making
spacer plates for the rear speakers. i will be using a jl audio clean sweep to wire the
amp with the stock head unit. i have also acquired a 2003 m5 steering wheel and stalks
that i will try to retrofit on to the 840 steering column. on to the pics
Amp mounted in stock location
plate made to mount crossovers beside the amp
location of jl audio clean sweep above the drivers side battery
center console apart to clean up wiring and get rid of access wires
finally the m5 steering wheel
+1 on supercharger update. It would be nice to get a before and after dyno to confirm hp gains

Sorry for the lack of updates i have a huge one here...
Firstly most of the 6-speed conversion parts arrived from gault bmw a couple weeks ago
Also got a e46 m3 3.64 lsd for the e31
Next i had the center console vinyl wrapped in piano black to get rid of that horrible wood trim and it came out great
then last week came the oem 840i 6speed drive shaft ( i was told its the last one left)
i also opted to get the flywheel and the 850csi clutch fully balanced. When I started this project i noticed that my hydraulic booster was leaking so i got a rebuild kit and went to it.
Here is the hydraulic booster behind the brake master. removing it was a bi*** and i have the v8 i wonder what it would be like in the v12.
After i removed both the brake master and booster i separated the two and dissembled the booster and this is what came out
then i removed the large piston from in the booster as well to replace its seals.
in the first image you can see a black plastic cup. its the oring in there that ends up
leaking so i replaced that whole assembly with this aluminium machined one and replaces all the orings on the pistons aswell
after getting the master cleaned up this is what it looked like
since most of the parts are here we decided to remove the autotragic tranny out
this past weekend.
exhaust off
While removing drive-shaft
a quick drive shaft comparison shot
and then the 500 pound tranny finally came out
Now we wait for the final order of parts which includes a one off uuc double shear
selector rod for this car. and just for fun a shot of my m3

I would also be very interested to see how your supercharger install works out for you...I'd love to install one.
If I may inquire: Where were you able to locate a full csi kit including mirrors? And where did you locate a 3.46 differential?
The full csi kit is available from Gault Bmw. The contact rep there is Charlie and he knows all about the 8. I was going to buy the diff ratio from www.diffsonline.com, however i ended up buying a low mileage e46 m3 diff. Its got the lsd and a 3.64 ratio that im going to swap into the e31 case.
You've met all the requirements for the position, "CRAZY"! But I like it... Mind sharing just a rough estimate of how much you've spent so far? Most would do a project like this at most on a Lexus, which would cost not nearly as much, and then sell in the near future. But on an ageless car like this, you keep it forever. For as crazy as it sounds, it's worth doing it in my books.
just wondering how everything worked out?
hey guys sorry been super busy and unable to update the thread. The cars been supercharged and now its under the knife again with suspension work. heres a link of it getting tuned on the dyno at miller

ill be updating the thread soon. Right now im installing bilsteins H&Rs with camber plates and bump steer plates from jerry as well as the rear strut re-enforcement plates.
Claus from felgen garage is making the rims and they should be here in a few weeks acs type 2 rennsport (oz racing vesion).
After this is the csi kit and the car will go into the paint shop for a new coat of clear as there is orange peel on the hood trunk and roof

Nice work ! How much power is it laying down with the supercharger?
Very nice! How much modification did it take to make the vf sc work?
can we see the dyno, war didn't want to take on a sc 840 m60 before so wondering what they can do now...why running lean if they did the tuning? running lean = more hp but yours isn't and tq...(I don't know much about that sc, just looks small and noisy)...just curious, I went that way once
might be out of fuel, i cant imagine the stock injectors are very big...proly could get another 100cc out of raising the base pressure but stock fuel pumps might not be too happy.
