Haha sorry about that guys, i dont know why it posted so many times, but yeah, i got the socket and wires replaced. The mechanic showed me the parts and they were fried and burnt, just a mess. He said it was common with bmw's. But the problem was fixed and it was about $300.

Was the socket fried/melted?Originally Posted by Djcampbell330ci

Yeah' the center of the inside was burnt black and melted .The socket was like $35. I guess there was a shortmin the lines that caused it, plus the wires needed to be replaced due to fraying and melting...pretty weird
ok....got it.
I'm having the same issue with mine where it affects ALL my turn signals, whether I'm turning left or right. However, I HAVE noticed that it only happens during the day when my lights are off. If I turn on my parking lights during the day, they blink normally. At night, when I have to have my lights on, they blink normally.
I've replaced all the bulbs and one of the sockets that appeared to be burned through.
Just some advice for this if anyone else comes across this, I took a paper clip and folded it around the bad ground connection and stuck the connector back with the paper clip sticking out of the socket. This was done about a year ago and have had no problems since. I am sure the metal connectors are still deteriorating but it's a 1 cent fix for the time being. This was only on my passenger side.
I had the same problem with my 03 325, the brake lights wouldn't work the turn signals kept flashing.
After numerous attempts at repair from the dealer and out of pocket expense i took the car to a Real BMW Dealer and had the repairs done under the tailight recall no charge to me. I haven't had a problem since...5 months and counting.
Anyone tried this the paper clip modification?
