I had just changed the oil a week or so ago, and i had repeatedly checked under the car for oil or any kind of leaks for the past 3-4 days. The car had been parked for about 9 months or so.
I add some windshield wiper fluid to the wiper res. and a little about 15 minutes after the car being off i noticed some neon green fluid under the car. At first i thought it was the wiper fluid, but the taste test proved otherwise (j/k).
Anyways... underneath this plastic rounded shroud/guard thing... is the radiator behind it? I hadnt had a leak before , and i havent hit any bumps for awhile.
Also... what is this part called? I think i want to get a new one... Thank you
you'e got 51712250643 Uunderside shield/ guard) cracked and some brake vent covers too. The leak is from the rad, hoses or overflow...take a look...

Also my heater isnt very hot, even at 89 degrees and recirculate on.
It seems the outside air , compared to recirculate, was a little warmer, but still under mildly warm.
The temperature needle stays at a hair past medium temp.
The damage to the underside shield has nothing to do with your coolant / heating problem. Get your car to a bmw tech and check the coolant system...

Head to a local parts store and pick up a uv leak kit and follow instructions. Its the best way for piece of mind.
Grabbed a small led light and found that the blue coolant bleeding thing looked damp around the threads, im sure thats the culprit.

Thanks for all the advice
I had my drain bolt shear on me when tightening...was able to back out the remaining threads with a flat head screw driver. Thankfully its a standard thread and pitch, now rocking a metal replacement.
i just put 8 dollar glacier water in the radiator, maybe all i need is some magic [=. Just kidding obviously, but i did put glacier water in there, haha..
Like straight from a glacier or what

Shits FRESH from a mountain's ass
