Wow! To say this is pretty impressive work is a serious understatement. Many of us, including lots of Baur owners, will be waiting with bated breath for your next pictorial installment. Keep up the great work.... and congrats on your other recent acquisitions. I have shared this in the E21 bimmerforums (and I see some familiar faces above), and I will be posting it in my Baur blog soon also. Great stuff, and an inspiration to us all!

BWR PWR!
The suspension is custom made and designed by VAC Motorsports and the Struts and Shocks are custom built by JRZ. I believe JRZ is in the Netherlands.
The e21 323i worked with some modifications but were not what I was looking for so they had to be made.. custom one off.

JRZ is also in the U.S. quite a serious suspension set up..

I didn't know that. I do know the spindles were shipped to JRZ Neatherlands for them to work their majic.

In the beginning...the car was stripped down and the interior, inner doors and trunk compartment was blasted and covered with Lizard Skin for its heat resistance, added rigidity and sound deadening qualities. The firewall was moved back and the tunnel was widened to accept the larger six speed transmission. The left of the engine bay was manipulated to accept the brake booster approximately two inches lower and two inches to the left to make room for the S50B32 plenum.

Here's a shot of the engine and brake booster fitment post modifications. Notice the deletion of the heater blower motor. There's no way I would not have A/C and heat so I went with a self contained, very compact and high efficiency aftermarket system from Vintage. It fit great given the smaller confines under the dash and nothing was sacrificed. All the vents and defrost work as they were meant to.

Thank you. Have Tony and Steve check it out. BTW - I just sent VAC my spendles & housings for modifiction last Thursday. They are for the GG setup that I'm going to put on another e21 that I'm working on with the same motor, trans as this one but it will be an Alpina tribute... so-to-speak.

Here's a shot of the six-speed transmission. Degreased and wire wheeled clean then primed, painted stainless steal and clear coated.

I remember I guy years ago was doing a swap similar to your and fitted a e36 dash in it . Some fitting is required but turned out awesome . I am sure w/ your skills you could fab one up good luck w/ the project
This is a serious conversion! If this isn't the most unique project I've seen in a long time, I dunno what is.
Awesome work so far, man.

I was able to find some pictures on the forum of the dash conversion you mentioned. It looks pretty cool. I didn't know this was an option. I won't be doing it on this project but will be considering it on another e21 project that I have in the works. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thank you very much.
