2006 bmw e53 passenger occupant mat sensor bypass

Hi guys. The bypass instruction I have seen online are for the seats that have the blue/white wires and a black box.

I took my seat out and did not see a blue and white wire or a black box.

Mine just has 3 wires coming from the seat occupanet sensor and connecting to another wires which then connects to the yellow color unit under the seat towards the from.

Does anyone know how to build or buy a bypass for this type of seat?

    Please help, I am desperate.

    Thanks!!!

why on earth would you wana bypass that. Its a function of the pass air bag. I would hate to see what would happen if you "bypassed it" and for some reason the car decided not to deploy the pass air bag and you had a passenger there.

the mat is not that expensive and its even covered under an extended recall. so I bet if its failed you can get it repaired for free anyway.

So I had to purchase a complete seat as on my model e53 the mat sensor is not sold as a separate part.

The seat was roughly $850 and I took it to an independent BMW mechanic to replace it for me.

Dealer wanted $1300+ in just labor. Sensor has to be calibrated after installation.

The total repair cost me $1250 with parts and labor.

I posted the DIY using ebay $15 bypass device on bimmerfest.
Did it in 2011, so far so good, no airbag light.
