(but E30 M3 no can haz. because racecar. so e36M is okay)
I like E36s... But then again, I like most of what BMW makes.
No hate. The body design is a timeless masterpiece and always will be. I think the E36 is the most recognizable chassis BMW ever produced. However, they are too heavy and have too much understeer. Without a serious diet and boost, they are nothing to be impressed with. At the time, yes. But times have changed. Not many, if any E36's impress me anymore. The reliability is shit and the interiors are awful. Most importantly, the M pedigree faded into oblivion with the induction of the E36.Originally Posted by Genkiboi8o8
I applaud your desire. Most of us started with the E36. And you've gotta start somewhere. Pick your mods carefully.Originally Posted by E46M3808

Well I like the E36 more now considering in the Hawaii section 80% are E30 peoples, 5% are E36ers, another 5% don't give a shiii and 10% don't have bmws anymore.

Honestly, e46m3 was one of my dreamcars (realistically speaking). I had the chance to own one after year after highschool, but I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up in maintenance, or if any problems occurred.. so I went and bought a g35 (stupid mistake, shouldve started in the e30)..
I'd like to own an e46m3 one day.
-1. fer serious with all the e46M3 love?
The 6spd is barely a daily driver, almost like it's pissed about being driven slowly. Loud, low- geared box and touchy throttle.
I just always found it unsatisfying as a daily here in Hawaii for my commute from kapahulu to pearl. Like I was constantly wrestling a beast back into it's cage. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had one to smash around wherever traffic doesn't exist(Omaha?).
At e46m3 price point is e36/7 mcoupe. it'll hold it's value better(second only to e30M3 in FI BMW realm) has 100x the street cred, and if that's not enough- you'll probably never run into someone who has the same color combo as yourself. Seems like I see the same 3 or 4 e46M3s every day, don't really take a second look 9x out of 10.
Not saying the e46M3 is anything to have sand kicked in it's face, they're fucking honey badgers.
jus sayin'- it's not really a bucket list type of ride.

The E46 M3 is a bit touchy/jumpy when driving slower...especially with sport mode on. I recall that with my pops car.
