and if anyones interested, Im trying to sell my s2000. I do realize that this is only my 5th post on BFC and its a for sale post. BUT I'm very serious about getting into a BMW and to do that I need to sell my s2000 to obtain the funds needed for this m3 I'm looking at. (I'm not looking to buy cars and flip it for profit so I apologize if this post comes off as such)

After selling my s2k I'd be able to buy the m3 outright and start doing you guys proud and build a respectable e36. so help me out and spread the word guys!! and hopefully I'll be able to come out to a meet before the end of the year.
I respect this post.... Except the E36 part.

Why so much hate for the e36? I got respect for them.

Btw I can vouch for this car because I've driven it hard and handles awesome. Just not practical for him because its his daily driver. And plus I think e36m3 would be way better for him.

No hate. The body design is a timeless masterpiece and always will be. I think the E36 is the most recognizable chassis BMW ever produced. However, they are too heavy and have too much understeer. Without a serious diet and boost, they are nothing to be impressed with. At the time, yes. But times have changed. Not many, if any E36's impress me anymore. The reliability is shit and the interiors are awful. Most importantly, the M pedigree faded into oblivion with the induction of the E36.

I applaud your desire. Most of us started with the E36. And you've gotta start somewhere. Pick your mods carefully.

    This.

Well I like the E36 more now considering in the Hawaii section 80% are E30 peoples, 5% are E36ers, another 5% don't give a shiii and 10% don't have bmws anymore.

that's because most people have an e-brake on their center console.

Yeah, the SMG kills it for me too...sad, as the E46M3 is one of my favorites and I would love to own one someday before I need an automatic...
    Estoril/Modena '97 M3...sold for the second time.

Honestly, e46m3 was one of my dreamcars (realistically speaking). I had the chance to own one after year after highschool, but I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up in maintenance, or if any problems occurred.. so I went and bought a g35 (stupid mistake, shouldve started in the e30)..

I'd like to own an e46m3 one day.

-1. fer serious with all the e46M3 love?

The 6spd is barely a daily driver, almost like it's pissed about being driven slowly. Loud, low- geared box and touchy throttle.

I just always found it unsatisfying as a daily here in Hawaii for my commute from kapahulu to pearl. Like I was constantly wrestling a beast back into it's cage. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had one to smash around wherever traffic doesn't exist(Omaha?).

At e46m3 price point is e36/7 mcoupe. it'll hold it's value better(second only to e30M3 in FI BMW realm) has 100x the street cred, and if that's not enough- you'll probably never run into someone who has the same color combo as yourself. Seems like I see the same 3 or 4 e46M3s every day, don't really take a second look 9x out of 10.

Not saying the e46M3 is anything to have sand kicked in it's face, they're fucking honey badgers.

jus sayin'- it's not really a bucket list type of ride.

Such beautiful prices nowadays! If I had an extra spot, i'd be tempted to break the piggy bank......and piss off my wife for a few days, but I'd have a low mileage E46 M3

The E46 M3 is a bit touchy/jumpy when driving slower...especially with sport mode on. I recall that with my pops car.

    Hahahaha

    e46m3 as a daily?
Would've been my fun (enough reason to drive like a dick) car when I'm bored. I'll always keep my e30 for DD'ing.
