I did a search and found a couple of related threads but no real information.
My gearbox has been making a lot of noise so I finally crawled under it today to top up the gearbox oil. It seemed pretty dry, I couldn't feel any oil through the fill plug. I pour in a liter of oil and it still doesn't seem full enough and I don't have any more. Then I noticed a fairly fast drip of my new oil coming from the inside of the bell housing. Lovely!!
My question is do you think it's just the input shaft seal or is there a crack in my case? I know I have to pull the box and I'll probably just grab one from the wrecker and replace the seals and install it but I'm wondering what my odds are of it being cracked.
seals are usually a long slow death. good luck with the box but you replace the clutch while you are in deep. stay positive and take your tome.

Can't forget to feed those damn shaft seals.
Well, I'm thinking it's the reason for the box being dry, not the result; maybe a bit of both.
Good info about doing the clutch as well. I have a stroker waiting to go in, hopefully in the next month or two, so I'll do the clutch then. Thanks for the input, guys.
Oh, and "goose".
