I'm not sure what's up with Kenny; I sent him a couple of texts a while back, haven't heard from him.
I saw that he was selling his V70R because the HG went on it - and he mentioned in the ad he was so busy he had no time to fix it.
I do know that his work keeps him very very busy and he and his wife were expecting their first child... so maybe he's really just *that* busy.
Kenny, if you check in, give me a call! Hope all's well.

b..b...bump
Any new updates?
Another bump - 7 months later - without updates, found this build today and can't wait to see the finished product!
And a big bump one year later... After reading the entire build thread, mouth agape. What a beautiful, inspirational build.
Anyone here who knows the Captain IRL able to get a status on him, his new family, and the car? I'd love to see the final product of this build, but just hearing that the man himself is doing well would be plenty good enough for me.
So my son is 3 now, we just got back from 9 months in china, and he is on a mission to resurrect the 535i. It is hilarious. "daddy I think the engine in your racecar is broken! Maybe it's out of gas!" so anyways my wife is gone this weekend so we are going to poke the car with a stick and see who loses interest first. :
Basically it ran and drove 3 years ago so now it needs:
Probably gas
A fuel pressure regulator. It was cannibalized for my brothers Volvo when it failed airfare. Ha.
Some plumbing for the air filters.
Door panels
Back seat ('cuz car seats lol)
So yeah, we wiped the cobwebs off (literally) and pushed it out of the garage). Seems not too worse for wear other than being covered in garbage/Thomas the tank engine stuff (same difference?)
I will post some updates provided we get anything useful accomplished.
Thanks for the thoughts and the kind words over the past years. Life has been insane but good.
Cheers!
Very cool man! I remember reading this thread yrs ago when I first picked up my msport. Can't wait to see what's in store. Great picture btw!
Glad to see you still have it. Looking forward to updates.
Never thought I'd see an update to this. Good luck! Hopefully your son takes an interest in it going forward.
Bump....Any Updates....??
