DIY 16:9 Navigation Screen Repair

Hello everybody,
i need some help on this screen replacement. I replaced the screen on 2 units. Step by step as noted and now I just get a “ white screen”
everything works in the background ( radio, nav, telephone) but no image. Just white.
Prior to the repair I just had some pixels missing.
Any ideas what went wrong?

I’d say re-check the 3 ribbon cables, quite easy to not push them fully home

Thanks for this DIY, did it this weekend and nice to have a new screen. I didn’t order the E39 specific LCD so had to adjust the viewing angle with the 2 small sets of screws on the back which was fiddly but do-able. I still have the 50% brightness problem but at least the screen is clearer!
