Reading between the lines ... are you suggesting that offsetting the motor towards the passenger side would have created the clearance? Please enlighten us on this. Sorry for the small high jack.

Im thinking he would move the motor forward since there is gob loads of space to bring it closer to the core support.

Found a pan that fits, no modifications. It's tight, but it clears.

I would move the engine a little forward if I wanted those manifolds to clear. This only applies to the 8 cylinder subframe - I have no idea on the 6 cylinder subframe.

I dont think if you moved it forward it'd work either, unless you used 1.5" from the manifold... But idk for sure.

No, not with a V8 subframe.

Well I removed my current manifolds and took a pair of 2010 manifolds and test fit them in my car, but what would I know?

the fox body mustang guys also seem to think the 2010 manifolds are going to be so different from teh rest as to magically clear their tight areas as well - the last definitive thread I saw from them was that they weren't even close, so I can't imagine we'd be in any better shape.

A few people on ls1tech have used that guy... Looks a little to "back yard" for my standards. Lol

This is the kit I'm looking at now.

Check out http://www.coneeng.com/index.html their collectors are easy to use and the prices are good.

Columbia has great prices on primary bends.

Cuz it's my daily, I didn't want to have to install a 3rd pedal and all the plumbing, and I can change shift points on the fly and manually lock it up with the press of a button.

Looks quality. But by the time you do the kit, collectors and flanges, they're more expensive than stainlessworks.

Edit: took a second look, they're about the same. Maybe I'll use them instead of stainlessworks

You should see what you can do with a 6 speed.

I just feel bad for people that don't get to experience it.

Auto just fits my needs better. And IMO is better for track racing/auto-X if I ever wanted to do that.

you had me at everything except for the last part of that sentence - minus drags a stick always wins, always in racing, at least when the auto is a hydraulic unit

I guess I just hate driving autos. When the 4l60 in my Yukon goes out, I'm going to have to seriously look at putting a T56 in that too.

I've seen miata's in auto-x, same driver, same specced car, auto vs. manual, auto won. In tight courses auto wins because it carries power through the shift. That's just what I've seen, no personal experience.
Manuals are fun, but they're a thing of the past. Outdated technology IMO.

... Let the flaming begin. Lol

LOL.... if something, I would consider auto to be the thing of the past and manual and sequential the thing of the present.

And sorry... That comment about taking auto to the track is just hilarious!

    Gotcha, now I know.

Still, I'm happy with my auto box for my every day use.
