You can get some cloth covers made for the US sport seats in a variety of dandy colors..
SUCH as maybe M tech 1 centers with black leather or alcantra bolsters and some M tech 1 door cards....
The M tech 1 cloth is great looking stuff..
Also can get a variety of odd ball euro plaid looking stuff
or Alpina...

I have a set of cloth sport seats, they're sex.
Best seats ever, they grip like not other and don't get hot in the summer or cold in winter.
I did pay a pretty penny for them though

That means I have to find/buy manual sports, and have them recovered. I found cloth comforts for $50, its the $300 to import them that kills it. If I'm gonna pay that much, they're gonna be sports
What models did they (manual sports) come in everywhere except here? I deal with the UK everyday, just wanna know who to ask what for.

The cloth is not nearly as important / attractive to me as having the manual sport seats. I will dump my electric sports in a minute if I score some manual ones.

Why dump el. sports for manual ones? you don't have touch the buttons you know.

They're lighter and less prone to failures that aren't anything but annoying really. I suppose they might be cheaper to get recovered too? In terms of prolonged ownership...
I'd rather have manual than electric, the same way I'd rather drive stick then auto. I like the leather though, To me the ideal is manual sport seat, black leather bolsters, and m-tech1 cloth centers. I can't get enough of that look.

They are not that much lighter. Clevertd swapped comfort electrics for manual cloth and weighed them. I believe you could shed the same amount of weight if you just took a really big dump before hand.

The weight isn't an issue, I have a station wagon, not a race caras stated, manual=less headaches, because we all know how robust BMW's electrics are. :roll:
