Yeah that master cylinder replacement under the dash is not fun at all.

I guess I should have clarified... I did the line and the master cylinder all at the same time. I hated every minute of it. For me with a crappy back to begin with, sitting upside down on the driver's floor always kills me. You're so contorted it just makes you want to scream!

We wanted to put all 4 wheels on the car (285/18 all around), but after installing BW wheel studs, we just found out that the bolts that came with the set don't fit these wheels anymore. We need to replace the bolts with "tuner" style bolts which have narrower hats and use thinner tool instead of regular socket.

Anywho... Here are few "failed" pictures.

This weekend we spent a lot of time working on this car and my LS1 car.

First to correct the post above where I said that BW studs and bolts did not work on the wheels we have – They’re actually do work. I guess we were too tired at the end of the day and had a little "Duh" moment.

This past weekend the car received Tein coilovers, new front control arms, LCAB and inner and outer tie rods. Boy oh boy did this car need these new items. The ones that were on the car looked original and in terrible condition.

Also, we installed seat belt harness on the driver's side. It is a 5 point harness, but Neil decided he only wanted to use it as a 4 point harness.

We did not take a lot of pictures this time around, but here are few with Neil being happy, strapped in his seat and with his coilover.

How do you like the Tien suspension? What were your reasons with going with it over TCK, GC, TRM, AST, etc?

5pt but only using it as a 4pt? PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS, you are risking your life in a crash. Are the shoulder straps running down to the floor? I hope you at least have a harness bar in there, if not you are going to compress your spine. Feel free to ask questions, there are many people on this board that are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to safety.

I always found that when I ran a 4 point, I had to make absolutely sure the lap belt was insanely tight to stop the lap belt from getting pulled up by the shoulder belts. However, that was only ever for autocross. I never ran the race belts on the street, and I don't do lapping or track driving (anymore).

TOOLEAN is right about the shoulder belts. They cannot go down at an angle of more than 45 degrees, or you face the very strong possibility of spinal compression in a crash situation where your body is forced forward. The belts will pull down on your shoulders with too much force.

    wellllllllllll about that
i am actually running into clearance issues .
the front rims is hitting the coilover and even a 15mm spacer does not help.
    i thought 18x10 with et25 and 285/30/18 worked
so i think i am going to go with a different setup (sticky street tires)
i just dont feel like making something to transport those tires to the track
so if anyone is interested i am willing to sell the the rim/tire setup to fund new wheels and tires

Ugh, wish I didn't just get another set of 18x10 et25 wheels...

That size and spacer combo should work for you, it is nearly the exact setup I run in the front. What part of the coil over are you having trouble with? Spring? Lower spring perch? Try running a shorter spring - 6" linear rate spring so you can thread the spring perch up a bit higher on the strut so it sits above the tire. Doesn't have to clear by much, as everything that you are in danger of contacting moves together.

^^Nondescript, which fenders do you have grafted on your front/rears?

Unless your spring perch/spring is not above the wheel/tire then I can see how its rubbing...
I have the 18x10 et25 apex arc8 with just a 10mm spacer and it clears the strut of my AST5100...

It was a custom job by previous owner before the e46 fender trick got figured out. To do it again, today, I would just go with e46 sedan fenders (optional - e46 M3 fenders in the front for a little more room).

I couldn't make a 285/30/18 combo work on a 10.5" wheel, 27mm offset and 18mm spacer. The tire sidewall hits the lower spring perch.

I'm back to 10" width wheel, 25mm offset, 12mm spacer and 275 tire and all is good again.

What length is the spring on the front coilover? You probably need to run a smaller spring.

Do you find the 275 taller than you would like it? Since the OD of the 275/35 is half an inch taller than the 285/30 or honestly not much of a difference... I know 275 run-offs tires are much easier to find
