I had to remove the rear cabin filter housing to get an angle on it. However, this is definitely a DIY maintenance item that I think pretty much everyone can do.
I wasn't trivial, but it wasn't insane either.
I used the crow's foot and some extension bars.

Nice write-up. FYI, The Bosch sensor comes with compound on the threads.

I didn't remove anything but the sensor. The special O2 socket and a 6" extension for my 3/8 driver is all I needed. Close fit, but no problems.

Great write up! I recorded a DIY video for this job as well, in case it helps anyone out:

I don't think it is necessary to remove the plastic clips as shown early on. The O2 sensors just plug in to the other end. You just pull them out.

Also, I do recommend removing the passenger side cabin air filter to get more room for the Bank 2 sensor near the firewall.

But overall, this was an easy job. $105 in parts and about 45 minutes. Much better than the $495 I was charged by a dealer.

I absolutely agree with removing the passenger side air filter. Very simple to do and takes less than a minute. Makes the job much easier unless you have elven hands

Thanks for such a great DIY!!!!
