Proper way to disconnect stock phone

    Hi all,

I dont use the stock cell phone that came with my 1999 750il. I disconnected the wires that are located by the arm rest. I just wanted to make sure this is the proper way to inactivate the system and keep the phone software from working or draining battery voltage..The car is stored several months out of the year and I'd like to keep my battery frfom draining. Is there a fuse or something i can pull to completely inactivate the phone system?

    Thanks

I got rid of the phone armrest, and went with a euro one. I just unplugged the connections under the console. No issues at all

From a guy in Poland on eBay. I paid about 200 for it.

    Hi DvaSevens,

That sounds right...disconnecting the module in the trunk. I'll look through the bentley book and see the best way to access it.
    Thanks for the advice.
