SOLD
Selling this for a friend who is a forum member but is currently too busy to spend much time on the forums anymore.
Car is a 1997 Oxford Green automatic 528i with ~125,000 miles.
Car runs strong and handles well but is not in the best shape cosmetically. The interior is fairly clean for a car of its age but requires some parts to function 100%.
The main issues:
-Sunroof is off track and does not close flush.
-Rear driver side door does not open from outside (need door lock actuator most likely)
-Rear passenger side window does not work (window regulator)
-Car leaks coolant regularly (goes through an expansion tanks worth about every 150 miles, possible head gasket but car has never overheated and the oil seems clean)
-Emergency brake does not work
-Traction control light is always lit
-Car carries a salvage title
-Paint is not good but body is straight
Despite the issues, this is a good running car that just needs the coolant leak addressed. Cruises comfortably on the freeway and gets decent mileage around town. Brakes have recently been replaced as well as the tires (yokohama all seasons with good tread). The car has a 6cd changer that is working and the keyless entry works fine as well as the power mirrors and seats.
I would like to get 1,900 for the car but am open to reasonable offers and would also consider trades for a manual e21/e30/e36.
If you have any questions just let me know. Car is currently located in Redondo Beach.
Thanks.

going up to SLO this weekend, and I should be at SoCal vintage this Sat., if there are any serious buyers I could deliver the car anywhere from Los Angeles up to SLO county or possibly even a little further north.
The car runs well, but the head gasket will need to be changed soon.
if anyone is interested, pm me and we can try and work out a deal.
bump for $1,900.
Am I priced too high? Or is there no market for auto e39s?
