So...blast from the past. I just did this mod, and I'm getting the clicking/buzzing......

Will changing the fuse to the 30amps as mentioned fix this? Isn't 30 kind of a lot? Or is this a grounding problem?

Grounding is the problem. If it was a fuse problem and you heard clicking, the fuse would have blown almost instantaneously. Double-check your grounds. Double-ground if you have to. Good luck!

That's the thing, I was reading this how-to, and you said you didn't see the point in grounding, and how the bulbs are already grounded...so what do I do to ground it?

Ahh, I see what you mean. Yeah, I remember that. But apparently, those aren't good enough grounds. You're going to fire something like 20,000 volts so you'll need a SOLID connection. I guess those bulb grounds aren't going to cut it.

So which cable do I ground? I'm thinking of just having a cable go to the battery negative...

I don't remember. The brown one? The negative ground which you connect the ballast to. That one, I believe.

Back from the Dead! Hey Clumpy, could you take a pic from the a drivers view of just the HID fogs. I have two sets of HID's and I'm still debating if I should install one of them in the fogs. Thanks in advance.

Do it. What else are you going to do with the set. Between installing it in the high beams vs. the fogs, I'd put them in the fogs, hands down. Simply because you hardly use the highs. BUT if you have THREE sets...

If you still want pictures, I can snap some when I get the chance.

If I can get my hands on a new digi-cam ill pop out one of my fogs and snap some pics. Also....I used the same setup that M3Style95.. used.

Oh yea.... im running 4300K... im thinking of switching to 6000K... love the purplish color it gives off
    I second that.

i just wanted to add this to this thread.

what i did to install my hids was i pushed out the pins in the stock housing and cut the hid wiring and slid it through using grease then crimped it back up and made connectors that u can get at a hardware store. plus i have extra fog covers and i could just switch to the original ones and run my stock lights.

Okay, tried doing it today but my stupid camera is all messed up. It would only shoot with flash and red eye. I fixed it now and I'll take some tomorrow.

    Okay, here you go:

    Low beams and fogs:

    Low beams ONLY:

    Fogs ONLY:

Low beams, fogs, and high beams:

I'll take better ones if you want (i.e., better foreground). I HAD some nicer ones but realized that one of my low beams were not on.
